SitRep - 25/09/23 - Explosions in Sevastopol, again..

An overview of daily events in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Ukraine, like almost every day now, again bombarded Crimea with a mix of drones and missiles. Ukraine also tested a new naval drone.

As usual we start with Russian losses per 25/09/23 reported by the Ukrainian General Staff.

+420 men
+5 tanks
+13 APVs
+27 artillery systems
+2 MLRS
+2 AD systems
+7 UAVs Image
Ukraine was attacked by a mix of drones and missiles overnight.
In Odesa a private building (former hotel) was hit. It was ready to be reconstructed.
In Kursk, the administration building was damaged by Ukrainian drones, the governor reported.
A Russian hidden ATGM position was discovered and skilfully dismanteled.
In occupied Krasnodon, Luhansk region on the border with Russia, Ukrainian forces hit a warehouse with ammunition.
The commander of the Black Sea Fleet has been confirmed killed during the recent strike on the headquarters in Sevastopol.
In Bryansk an enterprise related to diesel was struck.
Nova Kakhovka, another ammo warehouse was hit on the left bank.
Sevastopol was again attacked. Also near Belbek airfield explosions were recorded. Until now we don't have any confirmation of inflicted damage.
Let's continue with the general events. The US has granted Ukraine another financial aid package
Rare footage of British Stormers in use with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
M1 Abrams tanks are now in Ukraine. Later today, Zelenskyi confirmed it
A very interesting prisoner was taken in Klishchiivka, the former mayor of a city in Russia.
Poland will keep supporting Ukraine with weapons.
Ukraine received another $100 million through the PEACE project, funded by the UK
More sanctions to big Russian companies.
Ukraine is testing a new naval drone which looks like a small torpedo.

Novoprokopivka-Verbove axis

➡️The AFU managed to secure the road north of Novoprokopivka and landed in the northern outskirts.
➡️Northeast of Verbove, the AFU has started to push along the trenchline towards Novofedorivka and made significant progress. Russians are pushed back.

Avdiivka axis:

➡️The area of control near Opytne, south of Avdiivka, has been adjusted based on recently published geolocated footage. The AFU has widened the area of control while the area under Russian control is reduced and changed to gray zone, mainly in the center of Opytne Image
Bakhmut-Kurdyumivka

➡️After securing the area west of the railway tracks, the AFU shifted attention to Kurdyumivka. To my latest information, a push towards the settlement has begun. The information available is too preliminary to share. I will of course update when possible. Image
