SitRep - 28/09/23 - High-ranking visitors in Kyiv

An overview of daily events in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Both Stoltenberg, Shapps and Lecornu visited Kyiv unannounced and the Freedom of Russia Legion has restarted operations in Russia.

Another big drone attacked happened on the night of 28/09.
Regarding the Shahed-drone attack, Air Force Spokesman Ignat said that since Russia is capable of manufacturing their own Shahed-drones, they have increased attacks while the attacks itself are becoming larger as well.
The damage to Bakhmut. A once flourishing city has been turned into rubble and has to be rebuilt from scratch

In the morning, British Defense Minister Grant Shapps came to Ukraine. He talked with Zelenskyi primarly about strengthening Ukraine's (air) defense capabilities.
Also French Defense Minister Lecornu visited Kyiv
Not much later, footage emerged from NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg in Kyiv alongside Zelenskyi. They gave a press conference.
In this press conference Stoltenberg expressed solidarity with Ukraine once again, explained why NATO didn't respond to the drone 'attack' on Romanian soil and announced that new frameworks are in place for more artillery ammunition for Ukraine and NATO
We didn't hear from them for a while, but the Freedom of Russia Legion has announced it restarted operations inside Russia. Later it became known they were conducting operations in the villages of Starosel'e and Terebreno, located ~50km southeast of Sumy.

➡️AFU did try to improve their positions on the flanks of Robotyne and Novoprokopivka without success.
➡️AFU still has a foothold in northern Novoprokopivka and in the western outskirts of Verbove.
