Once Gandhiji used to recite Quran in Valmiki Basti temple.

Then a woman in the group stood up and opposed Gandhiji.

Gandhi asked: Why

Then that woman said it was against our religion.

The woman replied we don't treat you worthy to order about religion.

Gandhi said he should take the votes of the people here.

Woman replied, can religion be decided by vote?

Gandhi said you are now obstructing my religion.

Gandhi said: I listen to Quran

The woman said: I oppose it.

Then hundreds of Valmiki youths stood beside the woman, before reading the Quran in the temple, read the song or Ramayana in the mosque, then teach us the Quran.

Gandhi called the police after seeing the increase in protests.. Police came and captured the protesters, and a ‘107’ case was filed against them, then read the Quran at the same temple under Gandhi police defense.
