A short thread on the legislative effectiveness of the 8 Republicans legislators who ousted Speaker McCarthy:

Andy Biggs of Arizona has been in Congress since 2017. In that time, he has successfully authored and passed 1 law,
HR 4983 To designate the Department of Veterans Affairs community-based outpatient clinic in Gilbert, Arizona, as the Staff Sergeant Alexander W. Conrad Veterans Affairs Health Care Clinic.
Ken Buck of Colorado has been in office since 2015 and has never successfully sponsored a piece of legislation signed into law.
Tim Burchett of Tennessee has only been in Congress since 2019, but like Buck, he too has never successfully authored a piece of legislation signed into law.
Eli Crane also of Arizona is brand new. He doesn't really do legislating at all - he does however spend A LOT of time on right-wing media and does send really strange official e-newsletters.
Wrecking ball ring leader Matt Gaetz of Florida has been around since 2015 and he also has never successfully passed a piece of legislation.
Bob Good of Virginia has been here since 2018, and he's got one thing to his name to go to the President, where it was vetoed,
HJ Res 45 Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Education relating to "Waivers and Modifications of Federal Student Loans"
Nancy Mace of South Carolina is newer than Andy Biggs, but she too only has a bill renaming a facility
HR 6042 To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 213 William Hilton Parkway in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, as the "Caesar H. Wright Jr. Post Office Building".
Matt Rosendale of Montana has only been in office since 2021 - but he like most everyone else in this list has never successfully passed a law.
I know passing laws is HARD and is not the sole work of any one person, that many members are not successful, and that partisanship and leadership and a whole host of other things matter.
But don't be fooled into thinking these are good, effective governing members trying to make Congress work.

These are largely people that others even within their own conference don't want to work with.
And an important additional note: Introducing legislation that is eventually successful is absolutely not the end all, be all measure of legislative effectiveness.
People like @danielschuman does work directly on this topic and correctly points out the ability to block legislation, succeeding in amendment efforts, and moving political discourse are other and sometimes better measures of effectiveness.
Annnnnd - conceiving of, introducing, and passing legislation is very clearly not the only job of a member of Congress. It's just one part of it. It's also the case that ideas get wrapped into other bills via amendments and mark ups.
And personally, I really like Congress...it's my favorite branch by far
