SitRep - 12/10/23 - Avdiivka becoming Vuhledar 2.0

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Fighting is fierce around Avdiivka. Today again many video's and pictures show that Russia is suffering heavy losses.

As usual we start with Russian losses per 12/10/23 reported by the Ukrainian general staff.

+990 men
+42 tanks
+44 APVs
+32 artillery systems
+2 MLRS
+21 UAVs
+1 cruise missiles Image
After being quiet for a few days, Russia once again attacked Ukraine overnight with Shahed-drones. A total of 28 out of 33 were shot down.
Ukraine destroyed a key bridge between Yasynuvata and Horlivka. It was one of the main supply routes for the Russian front at Avdiivka.
A Russian BMP/MT-LB was found and destroyed.
The Ukrainian Navy confirmed that Russia's Project 22160 patrol ship 'Pavel Derzhavin' was damaged
The 24th mechanized brigade working south of Bakhmut destroyed enemy fortifications
SSO units are publishing a lot of footage lately. This time a compilation of destroyed Russian equipment including 5 tanks.
From above! Another Russian tank destroyed by drones armed with thermal vision.
Ukraine attacked Bryansk this evening.
Let's continue with the general events. Norwegian arms manufacturer Kongsberg is sending its CORTEX Typhon system to Ukraine.
Spain will also send new aid. A total of 6 additional Hawk launchers, ammunition and winter equipment is sent to Ukraine as soon as possible.
On the expense of Denmark, Czechia will send infantry fighting vehicles, hand guns and ammunition of both new production and from the warehouses of Czech private companies
A nice step by Estonia. EU countries should follow this example.
A new batch of Switchblade 600 kamikaze drones is expected to be sent to Ukraine soon. They are muh better than the mostly used Switchblade 300.
Ukraine is looking for financing for their missile development programme.

Avdiivka front:

➡️No confirmed map changes
➡️RU today tried to advance west of Krasnohorivka again. To no avail.
➡️A RU attack towards Sjeverne from Vodyane was completely repelled, inflicting significant losses in terms of equipment.
➡️Heavy fighting N/NE of the waste heap. Image

Probably the same column, but this time the column was targeted when it retreated back to previous positions. An FPV drone struck it in the back.
Slightly more east of Vodyane near Opytne, another Russian attack was thwarted.
A Russian tank hits a mine, and all 11 Russian soldiers disembark and run.
Pisky-Vodyane round two. Also this big column of Russian equipment mostly got destroyed or damaged.
Robotyne-Kopani

➡️On the flanks of Robotyne, there is good progress towards Kopani. The AFU has entered the trench networks and kicked out Russians from their most forward defensive positions. Image
Bakhmut-Kurdyumivka

➡️The AFU has pushed back Russian troops from the railway tracks east of Andriivka towards Odradivka.
➡️North of Klishchiivka, Russians are trying to counter attack in big(ger) numbers, Ukrainian assault units held positions. Image

Eastern Group Spokesman confirmed the AFU advances. Likely connected to the push back of Russian troops east of the railway tracks.
