@gtconway3d @SarahHuckabee 2 of 12/  A 'Lip Curl' — when the lips flare/curl outward in disproportionate and melodramatic manner, is a highly reliable indicator of the thought-emotions of:

• Hubris 
• False Bravado
• Braggadocio
• Pretentiousness
• Righteous Indignation
and
• Deception

@gtconway3d @SarahHuckabee 4 of 12/  At multiple times during this brief exchange, Sarah Huckabee Sanders displays microexpressions of contempt. This example of mild contempt occurs immediately after her above noted lip curl.

Note her mandible (jaw) thrust forward (a sign of an adrenaline surge) as well as tightening of the area above her upper lip/below the nose, along with lip tightening, together with nostril flaring.

@gtconway3d @SarahHuckabee 6 of 12/  There's also both a tension of the eyelid muscles together with a brief further opening of the eyelids (L > R) over baseline resulting in an accompanying intense stare (adrenaline surge, anger).

@gtconway3d @SarahHuckabee 7 of 12/  In addition, although we cannot see her left hand and lower arm, we can infer movement of it by the motion of her upper left arm (0:21 - 0:23). Note that Huckabee Sanders is left hand dominant.

@gtconway3d @SarahHuckabee 8 of 12/  This motion of her hand (in what was probably a surrogate rubbing dynamic) indicates anxiety regarding this question — particularly because this is her dominant hand.

@gtconway3d @SarahHuckabee 10 of 12/  Statistically, the majority (although certainly not all) of body language tells are displayed as the person first hears the question (we don't see that moment here) and thus we witness the higher emotional impact as they are processing it and formulating their answer.
