SitRep - 18/10/23 - Marine raids on the left bank

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In the occupied part of the Kherson region, Ukrainian troops carried out operations. Some Russian media speak of a breakthrough.

+2 tanks
+15 APVs
+8 artillery systems
+1 aircraft
+6 helicopters

The Russian MoD said it shot down 28 Ukrainian UAVs
They also report that during the day they shot down two S-200 missiles aimed for Sevastopol
Overnight, Ukraine did attack the Kursk region with a big amount of drones, aiming for a field camp.
A Russian D-20 destroyed
Asgard with a nice compilation of destroyed Russian equipment and manpower
Two BM-21's were destroyed alongside ammo for them
Another BM-21 on the left bank
A T-62 simply finished off by an FPV drone
The General Staff reports a fourth Su-25 to be downed.

Kherson region

➡️Elements of UA marines started operating on the left bank near Poima-Pishchanivka. Ukrainian forces were located on the approaches, as well as on the outskirts of Pishchanivka=Poima. If this is an operation for a permanent foothold is unknown yet. Image
At first, Ukrainians were located near the railway bridge which was assumed to be an area with already some Ukrainian presence previous weeks.
More footage of Ukrainian troops, this time moving back to previous positions.

Ukrainian troops were located at the outskirts of Pischanivka/Poima, confirming Russian reports that Ukrainians indeed made it very close to both settlements. We lack further information wether Ukrainian forces have permanently dug in.
