The news that a fraudulent elector has pleaded guilty in Michigan today has been overshadowed by Sidney Powell's guilty plea in Georgia, and thus has been largely ignored But the news from Michigan is hugely significant, suggesting that Michigan authorities have mounted a broader investigation, like that conducted by Georgia state prosecutor Fani Willis, into whether higher ups like Sidney Powell and Donald Trump broke the law in that state as well.

Three people have now agreed to cooperate with state criminal investigations into Donald Trump's allegedly illegal attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Sidney Powell and Georgia bail bondsman Scott Graham Hall have now pleaded guilty and have agreed to cooperate with authorities there. Michigan Attorney General agreed to drop charges against fraudulent elector James Renner in exchange for his cooperation in their state's investigation.
Correction: Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel's office this morning dismissed eight felony charges against fake elector James Renner, after Renner agreed to "cooperate fully" with the AG's investigation of allegedly illegal attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. An earlier tweet-- relying on erroneous media reports-- mistakenly stated that Renner had pleaded guilty to some charges.
