The IDS300 system is a decoy system used by both the @RoyalNavy and the @USNavy as means of protection for their naval assets.
Onboard the refitted T23 frigates you can see 4 tubes, 2 on each side of the bridge.

After the decoy is launched from the tube, it unfolds into a shape that resembles a dice with 20 sides.
When an enemy missile is spotted targeting the ship the decoy is launched and towed in order to confuse the missile. The decoy it self acts as a corner reflector in order to confuse enemy RF seeking missiles. With a bigger radar cross section than modern...
...naval assets, it becomes a bigger target for the missiles, thus the enemy missiles will target the decoy instead of the ship. And that's how the IDS300 (or FDS3) by @IRVINGQ_ works.
Of course the decoy arsenal of the T23 doesn't end there, it includes 4 SRBOC launchers controled by the Seagnat system and a T182 towed decoy system.
