In 2002, the US passed the Hague Invasion Act that says the US can invade the Netherlands if the International Criminal Court tried to charge any American for war crimes.

4 million+ victims of the US wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Yemen + more will go unpunished

In 2018, Iraq war architect and neocon John Bolton threatened the ICC with sanctions if it opened up an investigation into US war crimes in Afghanistan, or if any investigation was opened into Israel or any US allies.

He also called the ICC illegitimate.

The United States has done everything in its power incl threatening sanctions to prevent Israel from being investigated for its war crimes in Gaza where US supplied bombs target homes, schools, UN shelters, hospitals, children & pregnant women

In just one example in Afghanistan, US bombs struck the Kunduz hospital killing 22 people - a clear war crime. The US military said it would investigate itself and of course, found that it had done nothing wrong.

This crime will go unpunished

Israel has also refused to sign the Rome Convention to join the ICC, and has used its influene and that of the US to prevent or delay any serious consideration of the claims and charges against it for it's crimes against Palestinians.

Israel threatened Palestinians that any attempt to bring an action before the ICC by the PA would be viewed as a hostile act and thus, Israel would carry out consequences including sanctions.

The ICC is the first permanent criminal court whose purpose is to provide a forum for the prosecution of serious crimes incl genocide, war crimes, and violations of the Geneva Conventions, incl the crime of Apartheid under Article 7, all relevant to Israel's brutal war in Gaza

Republican & Democratic administrations alike have used their power to ensure the US & Israel are never prosecuted for their war crimes, from Iraq to Afghanistan to Gaza.

It seems like the millions of victims of these forever wars will not see justice anytime soon.
