🔴 In six places, PM 2.5 crossed 600 micrograms/cubic metre, although daily averages were lower.
🔴 The worst was recorded by a monitor in Noida, where PM 2.5 was 676.2 micrograms/cubic metre.
🔴Two places in the heart of Delhi recorded PM 2.5 >600: RK Puram (652.5) & Punjabi Bagh (610).
🔴'Severe’ air quality (PM 2.5 >250) was reported at 51 monitoring stations, almost all in Delhi-NCR.
🔴Most of these stations are in Delhi, which has 40 reference-grade AQ monitors.
🔴 Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh was the most polluted city in the last 24 hours, with an average PM 2.5 concentration of 401.5 micrograms/cubic metre.
🔴Top 10 most polluted cities list featured Delhi, three cities in UP & six in Haryana. All were in the 'severe' category.
🔴UP’s Greater Noida replaced Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh as the most polluted city in India in the last 24 hours, while Mizoram’s Aizwal was once again the least polluted city.
🔴The number of cities with ‘severe’ air quality shot up to 12 compared to just 1 two days ago.
🔴Delhi was still the most polluted state capital in the last 24 hours, but Bhopal, at third place on November 2, climbed up to second place yesterday, its PM 2.5 inching up to 102.1.
🔴Chandigarh, which was at third place on November 2, was replaced by Agartala yesterday.
🔴The number of places in Mumbai with PM 2.5 in the ‘poor’ category in the last 24 hours went up from four on November 2 to five on November 3.
🔴The most polluted place on November 3 was Navy Nagar-Colaba. But if we consider seven-day averages, Sion was the most polluted.
