The Twitter account for the Superintendent of the 5th largest school district in the US allegedly posted a crude, misogynistic message.

We don’t know if it’s real, fake, or a hack.

But we’re good at going through data, so let’s review what’s out there…

25 minutes later, at 6:06 AM, Kenny posted the screenshot

Seems unlikely he thought to forge ALL those details

But hard to say for sure🤷‍♂️

If the screenshot is real, it seems there are 2 options…

Either somebody without access hacked the account and posted the message

OR

Somebody with authorized access to the Superintendent account posted the message

Within minutes the post is deleted

If it was a hacker, either the hacker had a change of heart & deleted the tweet

OR

Someone w/ access went into the account, deleted the tweet, & presumably, the hacker did not post anymore

We’re only aware of a single early-morning post

If it’s a hacker, it looks like…

They chose NOT to tweet outright to the account's thousands of followers

Instead, commented on an account w/ only 348 followers re: #NVedspecific people

They wrote a crude message NOBODY would believe came from the Supt

And then stopped

You need to believe they went into an acct that hasn’t posted in >1yr & wrote a crude, unprofessional message in the middle of contract negotiations

That does NOT seem believable

Sometimes people create burner accounts that they use to attack others.

And sometimes they forget that they are NOT logged into their burner account, and they say incredibly stupid things.

What if someone w/ access thought they were going into a burner account?

Then you would need to find an account that:
- repeatedly attacks critics
- uses crude language like the alleged tweet
- comments to @Kbelknap822 early in the morning

Here’s an anon account that also replied to @Kbelknap822 early in the morning with similar crude language just 2 weeks ago.

We have no idea who Luis is, but this fits the bill and warrants more investigation.

The anon account, named Luis, has repeatedly replied to @Kbelknap822 between 3:30 AM and 6:00 AM talking about “crooked JV”.

If you do a Twitter search for the term “Crooked JV” before yesterday,

There is only one account that has been using that phrase repeatedly…

The Luis anon account is the only account that has been repeatedly using the phrase “Crooked JV” in the context of #NVed

39 times since June!!!

Attacking politicians, union members, and many more…

The anon Luis account has been almost exclusively attacking those who have in some way been perceived to be critical of CCSD leadership.

Did Luis hack the Superintendent’s account?

Is Luis the CCSD hacker?

Maybe the FBI should examine it as part of their ongoing investigation of the CCSD hack.

Fake? Hack? Real?
We can’t say for certain.

But there is plenty of evidence that needs further investigation by the Board.
The public deserves answers.
