At Leader's Questions, @AlysGreens questioned the council leader's commitment to the cap on short term lets after his Planning and DM Sub Committee convenors did not use new planning legislation to refuse an STL and retain much needed residential housing. 🏘️ Short Term Lets. "Can the council leader confirm if he still supports a cap on short term lets, and if so, how will he deliver one when DM Sub committee manifestly refuses to use its powers to refuse them, and some of his coalition partners clearly prioritise big business over residents?" - Cllr Alys Mumford, Green Group Co-convenor
@AlysGreens .@CllrBenParker also asked the council leader to show climate leadership and join the @StopCambo 🚫campaign in calling for the EICC to pull all and any support for events hosted by the Scottish Energy Forum and make our city a hostile place for companies who deal in fossil fuels.
