with #Palia announcing its switch release and showing up on steam for next year, id like to warn people about how the game is run right now.

The game is ran horribly, especially in communication and management. they cant communicate for shit

and the management in higher ups is absolute shit as well. the game keeps breaking with every single update, sometimes blocking progression as a whole. its quite obvious they dont ever test the patches before releasing them and just fix bugs on the fly.

the biggest kicker is that they do not give a FUCK about inclusivity or accessability options. they dont have brightness sliders, text size options (which, they make the chat smaller with every single update it seems!), options that help with motion sickness...

and they dont give a shit about the feedback their disabled community sends back or anything. they keep making the game less and less assessable, where even some of their abled community are unable to play. so for those on the switch looking for a way to comfortably play

do not bother with this game at all. just dont. the game isnt even optimized for handheld consoles. let alone its still properly done for PC. ive been playing and testing since april, and some in the community have played since it first became open beta and were alpha testers.

unless s6 gets their act together, hires disability consultants to show them how to ACTUALLY put in actual and real accessibility options, do not even bother to get this game and stay far from it. and if you ever bring up your accessability concerns, youll be told by-

the "disney" adults and blind white knights that the game is so easy for them and you just need to try harder. the ableism is rampant in some parts of this community. so those who need accessibility options and are disabled, do not engage with this shitty game. its just not worth

and as for future switch players, id recommend just finding a different game that actually deserves your money and has an actual competent team behind it

there are good people in this community, but the negative aspects, the higher ups that just care about money, are insufferable. S6 isnt a indie studio either as theyve been around for 5 (going on 6) years old and has over 50 million in funding for #Palia

so they arent poor or hurting in the damn slightest. the only people i feel bad for in s6 are the devs and people who actually give a shit and are just trying their absolute best and are as pissed as many of us are
