Donald Trump endorses Wisconsin election denier Janel Brandtjen in GOP Assembly primary

Brandtjen and a number of other GOP officials have been under fire in recent months after the state Ethics Commission alleged Trump's Save America political action committee, Brandtjen, county Republican Party officials and the campaign committee of Adam Steen, who ran against Assembly Speaker Robin Vos in 2022, conspired to avoid state fundraising limits for Steen's bid to replace Vos.

The alleged scheme to flood donations to Steen's campaign materialized as Trump and Brandtjen pressured Vos to take illegal and impractical steps to decertify the 2020 election when President Joe Biden defeated Trump by about 20,000 votes.
Waukesha County District Attorney Susan Opper said last month she would not file felony charges recommended by the bipartisan Ethics Commission, but noted her decision did not "clear" the lawmaker. Several others have also declined to pursue criminal charges, and the question remains under review in Washington County.
Knodl serves as chairman of the Senate committee that oversees elections.

Both Knodl and Brandtjen were among the 15 Wisconsin legislators who joined 76 other lawmakers across the country in signing a Jan. 5, 2021, letter to ask then-Vice President Mike Pence to put off certifying the 2020 presidential results a day before a mob stormed the U.S. Capitol to try to prevent Biden from becoming president.

Brandtjen previously led the Assembly's election committee, but her Republican colleagues booted her from their caucus in 2022, citing a loss of trust.”

🧵 by Tanya in the basket:

Not sure if this was mentioned before…

Charles Francis Flynn (father of Michael T Flynn) was a banker with Rhode Island Hospital Trust National Bank until poor health led to premature retirement in 1978. Same bank that later on became Bank of America.

Flynn’s mother Helen was a life-long and active parishioner of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Parish in Newport, RI - the church where JFK and Jackie Kennedy wedding was.
“It was 1963, and John F. Kennedy, the pride of Catholic Irish-Americans, was president and a frequent visitor to Newport, where Hammersmith Farm served as a summer White House. In 1953, he had married Jacqueline Lee Bouvier in a storybook wedding at St. Mary’s Church, where the Flynns worshipped. Like Jackie and Jack, Helen and Charles were Democrats.”

Incorporated on October 24, 1867, Rhode Island Hospital Trust was the first trust company in New England. It owes its unique name to the fact that it was chartered by the board of trustees of Rhode Island Hospital. The new hospital had been founded four years earlier and the trust company was intended to help finance it. Hospital Trust’s original charter required the bank to pay one third of its annual net profit above 6 percent to Rhode Island Hospital. This provision was to remain in effect until another institution stepped forward to assume a benefactor’s role. While that never came to pass, the philanthropic provision was cancelled in 1880 by mutual agreement of the bank and the state’s General Assembly. In exchange, the hospital received 100 shares of the bank’s stock.

Hospital Trust was organized by William Binney (lawyer Hon. William Binney, Yale grad, who served as the company’s first president until 1881). William Binney’s father Horace Binney (US House of Representatives) was a founder of Hasty Pudding Club, Harvard.

Amos D. Smith, brother of former Governor James Y. Smith, was elected chairman (> The Smith family, originated from Groton, Connecticut, were among the leading textile investors).
The bank’s original directors were: Alfred Anthony, Truman Beckwith, Rowse Babcock, John Carter Brown, Stephen Harris, Edward King, Earl P. Mason, Edward D. Pearce, Amos D. Smith, Rufus Waterman, Henry B. Anthony, Amos C. Barstow, Ambrose E. Burnside, Zachariah Chafee, Robert H. Ives, Christopher Lippitt, Samuel M. Noyes, William S. Slater, Thomas P. Shepard, Marshall Woods and Thomas P. I. Goddard.
As a trust company, Hospital Trust did not issue large-sized national banknotes. However, in December of 1933 the institution incorporated the Rhode Island Hospital National Bank, which did circulate small-size Series 1929 bills. These are Type II nationals, of which 195 are known to exist today, including 19 $100 bills.

December, 1933: Rhode Island Hospital National Bank organized as a partner of the Hospital Trust Company and granted federal charter #13901. (The trust company operates on one side of the 15 Westminster Street banking hall, the national bank on the other)
1985: After a shareholder lawsuit and regulatory hurdles, Bank of Boston’s purchase of Hospital Trust is approved at the new price of $150 million. Hospital Trust retains its name in Rhode Island
• July 8, 1994: Citizens Financial Group wins bid for failed Old Stone Bank, outbidding Hospital Trust/Bank of Boston and Shawmut
• May 26, 1998: Hospital Trust has its name officially changed to BankBoston
• March, 1999: Fleet Financial Group (formerly Industrial National Bank) announces its acquisition of BankBoston to form FleetBoston Financial Group. BankBoston had previously absorbed Hospital Trust
• 2002: Fleet Financial donates Hospital Trust’s former building at 15 Westminster Street to the Rhode Island School of Design, which today uses the former banking hall as a library, and the rest of the building as a residential hall
• June 13, 2005: Fleet Financial Group absorbed by Bank of America (Charlotte, North Carolina)

Rhode Island Hospital Trust - succession of mergers in the banking industry, with the name of the institution changing to Bank of Boston, Fleet National Bank, and finally Bank of America

50.
OUR raised money in order to have conducted multiple sting operations to
purportedly rescue trafficked women and children ("OPS"), with OPS being conducted outside the United States.

51.
Many of these OPS included wealthy men with no military training, who wanted
an "experience vacation" where they dropped into third-world countries to rescue trafficked children, with photo opportunities and stories in the local newspapers of their heroics, all the while flying first class.

52.
While promotional and media materials made the OPS appear to be paramilitary
drop-ins to arrest traffickers and rescue children, what most OPS consisted of was going to strip clubs and massage parlors across the world, after flying first class to get there, and staying at
5-star hotels, on yachts, and at VRBOs across the globe.

53.
These OPS were a fund-raising machine, though they were more show than
substance, and the entire OUR enterprises were funded by donors for these OPS, many of whom held bake sales and literally donated their "widow's mite" to OUR and Tim Ballard
59.
One of Ballad's closest friends is Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes, with Reyes promoting Ballard, until just recently, to be the next United States Senator from the State of Utah.

60.
According to General Reyes' web page, Reyes is the top law enforcement official in Utah, charged with protecting "consumers from those who abuse the law", again providing
credibility to Ballard and OUR that was not warranted.

61.
General Reyes has repeatedly vouched for OUR and Tim Ballard, even
participating in an alleged OP in Colombia, which was well publicized in Utah, giving Ballard the cover of the top law enforcement officer in the State of Utah to carry out his purposes, including the COUPLES RUSE, even while consumer complaints and criminal investigations
were coming into his office regarding the improprieties of OUR and Ballard

62.
OUR gave grant(s) totaling nearly $1,000,000 to the Utah Attorney General's Office in order to motivate General Reyes to protect Ballard and OUR.

63.
When the Davis County Attorney's Office opened a criminal investigation into OUR and Ballard, Ballard questioned General Reyes about how he spent the nearly $1 million
grant, and according to witnesses, Ballard claims that Reyes lied to him about how he spent it.

64.
Ballard was angry that General Reyes would lie to him, especially since Ballard made arrangements for General Reyes to use a Penthouse at Mac's Place with women and
cocaine.

65.
Other witnesses have claimed that Ballard is also addicted to cocaine

66.
General Reyes has received complaints against Tim Ballard and OUR and has intimidated witnesses from pursuing their complaints, using his attorney general position to
manage crises for Ballard and OUR.Image
