SitRep - 12/12/23 - Zelenskyi arrived in the US

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In an attempt to gather more support among US Senators, Zelenskyi visited the US where he spoke with Biden and US senators and the House leader.

As usual we start with Russian losses
Overnight, a mix of Shahed drones and missiles were used to attack Ukraine. 9 out of 15 drones were shot down while also both Kh-59 missiles were shot down
An Ural with an S-60 on top was destroyed
An absolute massacre near Avdiivka. Almost a hundred dead Russian soldiers in just one field.
Even US officials state that Russia lost nearly 13 thousand soldiers in an attempt to take Avdiivka.
Let's continue with the general events. It was the special day for the Ground Forces of Ukraine.
The EC has the intention to raise up to €15 billion in Frozen Russian funds to be used for aid and recovery for Ukraine
The NYT said that US officials advised Ukraine to consolidate positions and think out a new strategy for 2024.
Austria opposed negotations on EU accession for Ukraine because they think Ukraine shouldn't get privileged above Bosnia Herzegovina.
Newly appointed Polish Prime Minister made clear, he will do everything to make Ukraine win.
Another take on Hungary's blackmail of EU officials in their strategy to receive frozen assets.
The US passed a bill prohibiting the import of uranium
Although Kuleba stated that in principle, Hungary doesn't oppose Ukraine's membership at all. Let's see what his words are worth.
Zelenskyi arrived in the US and met with US Senators behind closed doors.

The US confirmed a new aid package worth up to 200 million dollar, mostly consisting of ammo and missiles.
In addition to recent announcement, Finland confirmed that it will ramp up production to enable long term support for Ukraine
Czechia gave commercial licenses worth 4.7 billion euros to produce military equipment for Ukraine
