As usual we start with Russian losses
Overnight, a total of 41 out of 42 Shahed drones were shot down. Additionally, Russia launched S-300 missiles with various degrees of impact.
Border Guards showed a video of them repelling Shahed attacks near Odesa
During the day, Russia launched 3 Kinzhal missiles of which one was shot down near Kyiv. The General Staff didn't comment on the impact of the other two, just to not inform Russians about possible success.
SBU unit Alpha with another compilation video of two weeks of work. Lots of Russian equipment destroyed..
Let's continue with the general events. Ukraine is building additional defensive structures on the northern border. The question, why not earlier?
The border blocking between Slovakia and Ukraine is partially lifted
Arriving in Brussels, Orban had big words about the EU accession negotations of Ukraine...
Meanwhile this was happening, Putin had a press moment on national Russian television. He used that moment to spread more and more lies about Ukraine and the war.
Ukraine received a new tranche from the IMF
Estonia also confirmed new aid to Ukraine
Sweden approved a new winter package worth €124 million
And then.... the biggest news today. The European Council decided to start accession negotations with Ukraine! A victory for Zelenskyi and the Ukrainian people.
Apparently, Scholz had a strategic plan to let Orban leave the room during negotations after which the remaining 26 countries could unanimously agree while Hungary 'abstained'. Well done Scholz!

Bakhmut-Klishchiivka

➑️Russians made advances towards the road leading into Klishchiivka from the north and occupied parts of it. This area holds a strategic height and fortifications and is therefore important.
➑️Klishchiivka itself remains under Ukrainian control Image
Avdiivka

➑️North of Stepove, Russians made slight advances along the railway tracks in the direction of Ocheretyne
➑️A mechanized attack near Stepove was repelled. Russians lost a fair amount of BMP's/MT-LB's Image
In the Kharkiv direction near Kupyansk, Ukrainian forces repelled a fairly big attack north of Synkivka. Russia lost 5+ armored vehicles.

A reassessment of the actual situation. Geolocated footage showed Russian units on the outskirts of the settlement, meaning Russians have advanced from the original line of contact. Image
