I saw this tweet by Lady Donli and I felt it 💔
It's a real tragedy when an artist gets to this point. It's something I've tried to address on my podcast. You can listen here:

The thing is...

Art is a powerful commodity. But an artist should never behave like a commodity. A lot of artists get infected with this mindset. Then the business gets toxic and they lose their passion. I done know the details of Donli's situation. Just speaking generally.
Here’s my advice: Whenever you get frustrated with the business side of things, move away from the business and move closer to the art, to your gift. Cos God exists within the gift. Bad business will sap your love and your passion for your gift.
'Bad business' is when money becomes the most important thing. When you twist yourself in knots to accommodate other things that take away from the gift. And when you make money the most important thing in any situation, God leaves the room.
In times of frustration and fear, move closer to your gift because your gift is God. God gave you that gift because He knew that you were going to need it in your darkest moments. It's your fortress of Solitude. Your gift, your art will make room for you.
Separate yourself from the dollars and cents and focus on the gift. Rediscover doing your art for it's own sake. Rediscover the joy that got you into in the first place. Then get back to business ready to make better moves and better decisions.
I can say all this cos I've been there and I've overcome it. With my podcast, with my other endeavors, I've found ways to maintain and nurture my love for my craft so that no matter what happens business-wise, God remains constant.
This episode of my podcast documents how I dealt with the ups and down of being an artist to this point where I'm a god in my element #TheYoungGod ⚡

Everybody and their mother is starting a podcast these days and I'm here for it. Here's the most important thing to keep in mind if you're going to enter the podcasting space:

it's not enough to simply have something to say.
That's not enough for anybody to make the effort to listen to you. You're going to need a unique concept, a niche topic, and a well thought out format if you're going to make waves and be successful.
Your title has to be clever. Your podcast art has to be visually interesting, before we get to the actual content which must show some level of intention and creativity.

A friend who purchased VVIP tickets worth 100k gave some more details about the Burna Boy concert:

No opening act.
Poor sound.
Mic wasn't working.
Hypeman was stoned with bottles and he left.
6-9 hours standing, waiting, no drinks no water. Nothing...
No traffic control
VVIP ticket all you get is a chair. No apology.
People who bought tables were out somewhere they couldn't see the stage.
Despite all of this, when he came out people started clapping
He gave no apology. Showed no respect for the audience
She said it seemed like he was taking out vengeance on Lagosians for all the abuse he has suffered from time. This year in particular.

Long story short: He was a total asshole that killed it still 🤣

She finished by saying: "I'm done with Burna boy"

2023 is upon us...

If you need a reasonable goal to aim at in 2023, might I suggest this:

DON'T JUST LEAVE YOUR COMFORT ZONE.
EXPAND IT.

Hear me out....
For the longest time, we were told to leave our comfort zones because nothing ever grows there. But merely leaving your comfort zone implies you get to return to your old ways. If growth is the goal, then a more permanent approach to the comfort zone is advisable.
The idea is to expand the zone so that you're comfortable in a large variety of situations, thrive anywhere and do whatever you want to do. The way I see it, if you simply leave your comfort zone, you will always return to it. That defeats the purpose, doesn’t it?

I usually sleep on on Sundays but I'm a Coza because I'm in the mood to witness something....😭
All the baddies got to Coza it seems 🙃
Once the Senior Pastor @BiodunFatoyinbo face came on the screen, the crowd went wild. The brainwashing is elite level.
