More action on the docket for Whitmer fednapping appeal. Last week, DOJ finally filed its brief detailing opposition to overturn convictions of Barry Croft and Adam Fox after retrial on federal terror charges.
Croft and Fox alleged judicial misconduct in the handling of both federal trials. DOJ asking for oral arguments; no date set as of yet.
Of the many scandals related to this case, one involves the recusal of Mark Totten, the current US Attorney for Western Michigan.
He removed himself from the prosecution team but did not explain why--but it's safe to assume his role as Whitmer's general counsel as the FBI kept Whitmer and her aides apprised of the entrapment scheme during 2020 has something to do with it.

Joshua Blanchard, Barry Croft's public defender, filed a lawsuit in June 2022 against DOJ seeking info about Totten's recusal. DOJ is still fighting the lawsuit and refusing to produce any records.

Splitting hairs--DOJ doesn't say if a memo exists only that "documentation" exists.
Then admits government is withholding it.
If a sitting US Attorney was involved in entrapping citizens, we deserve to know. And if so, he should be removed from office.
