SitRep - 21/12/23 - Large Russian attacks along the front

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Today, Russia attacked with large troop concentrations on various places along the front. Fierce fighting continues...

As usual we start with Russian losses
During the night, Russia again attacked with quite a large drone force. In total, 35 Shahed drones were launched of which 34 were destroyed
Work of the Kherson anti-air brigade against Shahed drones
A Russian BMP-1 hit by an anti tank mine after which it got immobilized.
A 2S5 Giatsint-S self propelled gun destroyed
To give you an idea on how the fields near Stepove are looking like. Filled with Russian corpses.
Near Terny-Kreminna, a large group of Russian infantry and APC's/IFV's was stopped and sent to the afterlife.

In occupied Makiivka, an explosion occured after which gas supply was gone. Locals report that the supply of gas still has not been restored.

Lets continue with the general events. Mid-january will be the first possibility for the US Congress to pass a new package of aid to Ukraine, if an agreement is reached beforehand.
Head of the SBU promised that in 2024, Ukrainian intelligence will step up its actions inside Russia.
Another $950 million was received from Japan as part of the recovery programme for Ukraine
Also the EC transferred its last tranche of $1.5 billion to Ukraine.
Germany announced a small, new aid package to Ukraine mainly used to improve its energy system which is being attacked by Russia on a daily basis.
The Netherlands also allocated a new aid package as part of a broader package of $2 billion for 2024.
Finland announced a new aid package to Ukraine of which the content is unknown.
Already a thousand Roshel APC's have been delivered to Ukraine.
Orban reportedly accepted an invitation by Zelenskyi to hold a bilateral meeting between Hungary and Ukraine. If it will happen eventually, time will tell.

➡️After enduring some big counter-attacks by Russia west of Robotyne, the AFU has managed to push back Russian in the gray zone and take control over several treelines west of Robotyne. Geolocated footage confirms AFU presence in this particular area. Image
Novomykhailivka

➡️Reassessing the situation: Russian forces control more area south of Novomykhailivka than previously confirmed. Geolocated footage shows Russian forces present in this area, confirming control.
➡️AFU pushed Russians somewhat back in the red circle area. Image
Footage from a recent failed Russian attack east of Novomykhailivka appeared. A Russian BMP-3 delivers infantry, that after a while, neede to retreat due to heavy losses.
