SitRep - 23/12/23 - An fuel storage site in Ilovais'k was hit

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. After a strike in Ilovais'k near the railway station, a fuel storage site burned down.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the last 24 hours
Russia launched 9 Shahed drones last night. All of them were shot down by Ukrainian air defense
During the day, again like usual, a Kh-59 missile was shot down.
Explosions were reported in occupied Crimea, specifically in an area where Ukrainian units managed to hit Russian air defense complexes previously. We might see more about this strike in the coming days.
On the border of occupied Crimea and Kherson region, Ukraine managed to strike a building. The AFU command in the south already said earlier that they have fire control over this area.
A Russian BM-21 MLRS was destroyed
In Krasnohorivka, a Russian vehicle got hit by an explosion nearby.
One brave Ukrainian soldier fought of a whole unit of Russian assault forces.
Today Ukraine struck a fuel storage site near the railway station in occupied Ilovais'k.
Several pieces of Russian equipment destroyed on the left bank of the Kherson region
Lets continue with the general events. Biden signed the annual defense spending bill, in which 300 million USD is reserved for Ukraine.
Poland and Ukraine agreed on a joint plan to unblock the border.
Not much later, the Polish Ministry of Agriculture reported that the first checkpoint is now unblocked. Until now, the other checkpoints remain blocked.
London will be sending four-wheel drive cars to Ukraine that would otherwise be scrapped.
Not that Italy has a say in this matter, but the Defense Minister expressed his thoughts on 'resolving' the war.

No map changes, but a situational report. Russians have reportedly increased the usage of UR-77 mine clearing vehicles in order to create a safer route to assault the north of Synkivka. A new, bigger mechanized attack, is expected in the next days/week. Image
