Nobody asked for it, but here’s my annual “Top Ten Albums” list for 2023…
My album of the year is @SWJMusic “Son Of Dad”. The voice. The writing. Such a fresh breath on the scene and I’m happy to call him a friend. Ironically enough, this is the one record on my list that hasn’t been released on vinyl but I’ve been assured it coming in the new year!!!
I own every one of these records and want to take a moment to encourage you to buy physical copies of the records that move you. One $30 record is the equivalent of 8,000 streams. Buying directly from the artist is the best way to support the art you love.
Artist friends, I also highly encourage you to buy, support & share your friend’s art. Shining light on other artists doesn’t take any light off of your project. Normalize supporting other songwriters, not competing against them. Rising tides raise all ships.
(Steps off soapbox)
…and without further ado, the rest of my top ten, (in alphabetical order) are…
2)@ponybradshaw-North Georgia Rounder
3)@margocilker-Valley Of Heart’s Delight
