Pep Guardiola on Haaland : “I don’t know if he’s close. He feels better in his bone. But he hasn’t done one training session with us. Hopefully in January he can come back with us.”
Looks like he won't be available for SHU which solves a lot of dilemmas
I would still assume he will be back in GW21 vs NEW so plan your moves accordingly
👕 If you have Haaland is it ideal to keep him or sell?
👕 The opportunity cost is big and i would sell haaland even if you have held him till now
Big gains to be made vs SHU if you switch him for someone like Alvarez and even captain
1. Sell Darwin for Alvarez?
Darwin just has 3 attacking returns in the last 8-9 GWs, even with the fact that salah will leave in GW21 and Darwin will be nailed and possibly on penalties too he is a sell
Darwin to Alvarez seems like a transfer well spent
2. Should you sell Watkins or Solanke eventually for Alvarez or when Haaland is back?
"Fixtures breed form" that's what we exactly saw from Solanke, he was a masterstroke for people that got him early for his 3-4 game run but i think it's time to move him on despite Bournemouth looking good
TOT, LIV, NEW, MCI in the next 6 GWs, ideally i would keep both Watkins, Solanke to pair them with Haaland but if you were forced to sell one it should be Watkins
Aston villa with far better fixtures longer term and a better team in general than Bournemouth
3. Get Alvarez or foden with those fixtures and a potential DGW on the horizon?
Totally team dependent and team formation dependent
If you are playing a 3-5-2 it's hard to fit in Alvarez cz of Watkins and Solanke
If you are playing a 3-4-3 it's easier to fit in Alvarez assuming the midfield 4 is blocked by Salah, Son, Saka, Palmer/Gordon and i wouldn't like to sell any of those midfield players
If i had to pick one it would be Alvarez with him being "comparatively" more safer and on penalties/free-kicks as well
4. What to do with Trippier/Gordon?
Newcastle have looked really laggard specially after the busy Christmas busy period kicked in
There's no fundamental issue i believe but a lot of injuries meaning using the same players week in week out results in physical and mental fatigue both
With LIV, MCI, AVL next i don't see them scoring a lot or keeping a clean sheet and moreover the opportunity cost is there for the taking
I would sell both and re-evaluate after GW22
5. Trippier replacements
⭕️ Gabriel & Saliba : I would prioritise an arsenal defender over anyone assuming you have atleast one of them, there's a merit in doubling up for the fixture turn
They are the best defence away and 3rd best defence at home in terms of xGC and the best defence in terms of goals conceded
FUL, CRY, NFO in the next 3!
🟣 Aston villa is still the joint 4th best defence in the league this season
Pau was back fit on the bench vs MUN and i don't see a reason why he shouldn't start from now he still the best cheap option to get
Alex moreno is another incredible option but currently his minutes are being managed, he will be the standout defender to own very soon under £5m
🔴 Might sound controversial but it isn't the right time to buy Taa currently
Short term fixtures don't like ideal for clean sheets but long term he is an absolute hold
6. Best Gordon replacements or midfielders to buy in general
⚒️ Bowen would be my go to midfielder to buy if you are replacing Gordon or preparing to sell Salah/Son when they leave
He has 3 goals and an assist in 5 GWs and is only behind Salah for most goals amongst midfielders

Everything you need to know about GW12, wildcard special ✅
A THREAD 🧵
1. Pros and cons of a wildcard in GW12 ✅
PROS 1. Many engaged managers have used their wildcards already from GW4-8 range, this gives you an edge
2. Fixture swings for teams like AVL, BRI, CHE, MUN, NEW
3. If things go south, you will have another wildcard available in 7-8GWs
4. International break and wildcard allows you to assess players and remove them who are doubts or get injured over the international break
CONS 1. You might not wanna lose some of your existing players who have delivered
2. GW16 is also another decent week to wildcard with great fixture swings for good teams
2. A word of caution before picking player punts
There are 8GWs in the span of 1 month starting from GW12, that is 1GW every 3-4 days
Don't punt on too many players on wildcard who are
1. Benched often 2. Minutes risk 3. Too injury prone
Players like
Timber
Liverpool attacker other than salah
Man city wingers or CBs
Chelsea wingers, even Jackson
Arsenal fullbacks
Man united wingers, striker
Not specifically them but you have an idea what players from which teams to avoid
Best rotation plan to accommodate premium midfielders in your team till GW20 ✅
A THREAD 🧵
NOTE : Just a few things before we jump in
1. It's just impossible to own more than 2 premiums without sacrificing Haaland
2. I would "currently" consider haaland & palmer as untouchables
3. I wouldn't recommend anyone booking transfers in advance but this is still a nice way to accomodate all 4 at different point in time
4. Hopping on and off is easier said than done but this season being able to roll 5 free transfers gives us a lot of time to accomodate all 4 midfielder
1. Bukayo saka
Saka needs to be owned for these 3 fixtures atleast and you can straightaway move palmer to saka
He is the hottest topic in town and rightly so, 2nd highest scored in FPL after haaland and was the top scorer last season
People are moving mountains selling salah and saka to accommodate palmer in their teams using transfers and hits
The crazy part is 8 out of his 10 attacking returns have come against 2 teams Brighton and wolves
The next 5 fixtures for him are
• GW7 vs NFO : Top 5 for xGVC
• GW8 vs LIV : Top for least goals conceded
• GW9 vs NEW : Can frustrate any team
• GW10 vs MUN : He will hang
• GW11 vs ARS : 2nd best defence
Now is not the time to invest in Palmer stocks
2. What to do with Eze? Hold or sell?
Eze was been a frustrating hold for everyone since the start of the season
He was one of the popular midfielder to start the season but hasn't done much regardless the decent fixtures
However the underlyings are still there with him scoring just 1 goal from 3.5 xGI
Fixtures are not that bad, if you have other major issues, he is a hold at the moment
