Russia tried to disrupt new years evening in Ukraine by launching 90 Shahed drones and terrorize the country.

Before I start the SitRep....

As usual we start with Russian losses in the past 24 hours
Russia attacked lots of regions in Ukraine during new years evening. Luckily, Ukrainian air defense shot almost all Shahed drones but could not prevent other missiles from hitting targets inside Ukraine.
This is how border guards tried to fend off the Shahed drone attacks

During the day, the Ukrainian Air Force did an update on new targets that were destroyed on Ukrainian territory.
In the Dhzankoy district in occupied Crimea, explosions were reported.
Also in occupied Donetsk, big plumes of smoke after several 'arrivals', locals report
Today was a 'BUK' day. Lots of video emerged from destroyed BUK air defense systems being destroyed.
Several pieces of heavy equipment destroyed, among them two BUK air defense systems.
An image of a destroyed Russian BUK-M2, if this is related to the video's earlier cannot be determined but it could also very well be another one destroyed.
A stockpile of abandoned TM-62 anti tank mines in a field was destroyed from above by an FPV drone.
Lets continue with the general events. In an interview by Pravda, the SBU showed a video on how they modified SeaBaby drones with thermobaric launchers that are able to shoot missiles from the naval drone. It was already demonstrated in Sevastopol.
Expert say Ukraine is facing a shortage on air defense missiles.
Finland once again spoke out in favor of long-term support for Ukraine.
The Norwegian government decided to allow direct weapon and defense products sales from the Norwegian industry to Ukraine.
Canada pledged more NASAMS systems.

Bakhmut-Bohdanivka

➡️In general, Russians are on the offensive and Ukrainian are trying to maintain positions.
➡️Russians have broken through the primary line of defense north of Bohdanivka, taking the fight into the settlement. Image
Kupyansk-Synkivka

➡️No map changes
➡️Russians meanwhile tried with another set of mechanized attacks to create a breaktrough into Synkivka, but again failed and took heavy losses. Image

Robotyne-Verbove

➡️This axis was one of the most active ones during the Ukrainian summer offensive, but actions from both side have drastically slowed down.
➡️Russians restored positions west of Robotyne after initally losing them for a short period of time. Image

SitRep - 26/12/23 - Ropucha-class Novocherkask promoted to submarine 📉

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Last night, Ukraine attacked the port of Feodosia, destroying two Russian ships of which one is a big landing ship.
