A reminder for those who need it: Gaza isn’t a modern city/prison recently created to house Palestinian refugees.
It is an ANCIENT, historical place that dates back thousands of years. It is intrinsic to human history, dating to the Bronze Age.
And it’s more than a war zone.
One of the biggest problems with Israel’s siege on Palestine is their attempt to abolish anything that proves how old it is and how long people have lived there.
Indigenous people would never bomb relics and artworks that their ancestors built.
In colonizing Palestine, they’ve successfully made you think that the only things that matter in that land are what was made post 1948.
You don’t look at Israel and think of Bronze Age trade routes and villages, which makes it easier for them to bomb the shit out of them.
In reality, Palestine and the entirety of the Middle East are much older than the governments and institutions of the West.
And by erasing that history, they succeed in making people believe it is a “land without a people, for a people without a land.”

Recently, I was discriminated against at my workplace by an Isra*li couple. They had a problem with my 🇵🇸 pin, & demanded my manager force me to remove it in front of them.
After a call with legal and HR, I was told that wearing that pin was an act of “political solicitation.”
After months of stewing about this, I’ve decided to go very public about it because it’s incredibly racist, and and absolutely incorrect.
Wearing a flag is not an act of political solicitation. Being proud of your heritage is not political. And I won’t be quiet about it.
What’s worse about this, is that the company sells Pride flag watch bands, Black Unity watch bands, and sold an entire array of bands last year based off flags for the special Olympics.
Why? Because they know flags based on identity are about REPRESENTATION, not politics.
