Three years ago today I witnessed and documented Capitol Police Officer Michael Byrd shoot and kill unarmed Ashli Babbitt. It changed my life and how I view January 6th forever.

Since then he has been promoted to Captain and raised $164,206 via GoFundMe.

There has been no accountability but as of yesterday a $30M wrongful death lawsuit was filed by Aaron Babbitt.

Since January 6th is used as a modern day Reichstag Fire for the Establishment I’d like to use my platform to dispel rumors surrounding what actually happened.

Ashli Babbitt was not “violent towards police and elected officials” or “committing vandalism” like MSM and the current Administration claims. In fact, she tried helping police de-escalate conflict on multiple occasions and in my opinion was ultimately killed for it.

Ashli Babbitt can be seen on video punching Zachary Alam in the face (he was the one breaking the windows with a helmet) to prevent him from doing any more destruction and to stop him from going into the chamber.

At this point the cops had shifted over allowing Zachary to continue after Ashli screamed at them multiple times to “call fucking help”, “call for backup” and yelled at Zachary Alam "Stop! No! Don't! Wait!"

Ashli can be seen grabbing Zachary Alam’s bag and punching him in the face to stop his destruction after she yelled at him to stop what he was doing multiple times without any success.

She then went through the window in what I believe was an attempt to push people back as they attempted to breach the lobby. If you’ve seen the video she immediately turns her body towards the crowd as she vaults right before she is fatally shot by Michael Byrd with no verbal warning.

Ashli was also visibly scared and could have been attempting to flee the increasingly violent crowd. I’d love to ask her myself but Michael Byrd made sure that wasn’t possible.

I do know for a fact she was actively trying to de-escalate violence and property damage the entire time and all the video evidence proves it.

Ashli Babbitt and I were the first to arrive at the Speakers Doors where I offered water and we even joked with Sgt. Timothy Lively, Officer Kyle Yetter (Now an FBI Special Agent), and Officer Christopher Lanciano.

At this point she had not vandalized anything (she never did) nor committed any act of violence.

As we entered the lobby you can hear me tell Mr. Gandolph to “Stay Safe, all right?”

Mr. Gandolph would later give false testimony saying he observed Ashli “participate in breaking the glass to the doors” when witness testimony AND video evidence proves such a thing never occurred.

A member of the CERT (who Byrd claimed wasn’t on scene) who arrived in the area as Babbitt was shot "reported that he did not recall hearing any type of verbal commands being given prior to the shooting, nor did he see who shot Ashli Babbitt.

There was no verbal warning as I was one of the people in closest proximity to Michael Byrd and I didn’t hear one either— even John Sullivan claimed there was no verbal warning.

The only “warning” came from John Sullivan and I as we noticed the gun from around the corner— nobody else could hear us because of how loud it was in the hallway.

As a Reporter I have no reason to skew facts on what took place in the Speakers Hallway. I am however deeply troubled from the way MSM used my footage to paint a completely different narrative. They demonized Ashli Babbitt as a violent terrorist who was being destructive and deserved it, which all the evidence shows was not the case.

Her family faced extremely unfair repercussions due to the blatant lies surrounding Ashli’s death and I hope there can be some real accountability for the bad actors responsible.

For a long time I struggled with what I witnessed on January 6th and hope the truth behind the shooting will overtake the bogus narrative that’s been painted by MSM and the Federal Government. I still struggle with what I witnessed but am thankful I was there to document it so I could cut through the propaganda that has been shoved down Americans throats by the Government.

Journalism is about telling the truth and holding powerful players accountable, not adhering to the Federal Governments bullshit narrative and I am proud to say my story has and never will change regarding the subject. (unlike others)

The January 6th Committee was of course not interested in my testimony as it goes against everything they’ve stated in what I would classify as a show hearing.

My long time followers know that I pleaded with members of the committee to testify but they ignored me every step of the way. (@AdamKinzinger was too busy donating to Byrd’s GoFundMe)

To add onto the insult I was designated a Domestic Terrorist for my reporting on the event and was harassed and followed by Air Marshals for two years.

My heart goes out to those who have been unfairly persecuted by the current Government and as a Journalist and Field Reporter who was there that day I hope I can help bring forth the accountability that so many people deserve.

My work surrounding January 6th has slowed down / halted for personal reasons. I had desensitized myself to the events I witnessed to such a great extent that I reached a breaking point that I just couldn’t take combing through footage and continue investigating the events that unfolded without sacrificing a large piece of myself.

I am sorry to those that felt they relied on me to continue exposing what took place that day but I had no other choice than to distance myself after such a long time obsessing over the subject.

I’m hoping one day my testimony can be used to help shine an honest light on what unfolded on January 6th, 2021.
