Ethereum and Cosmos, two dynamic ecosystems, started with different visions 🔀 However, as they overcame similar obstacles, Ethereum's rollup-centric roadmap 🧗♀️ and Cosmos's internet of blockchains vision 🧱 are converging together.
While both ecosystems have been learning from each other's experiments, most of these interactions are informal🚶🏻
EigenLayer is well-positioned to strengthen the bond between the communities by becoming the philosophical bridge and bringing value to both ecosystems 🛫
Through EigenLayer, Cosmos can tap into Ethereum's $66B security and hundreds of billions in liquidity 🌊 Simultaneously, Cosmos can further push its innovations to the entire L2 ecosystem on Ethereum 🧪
In the latest Bell Curve podcast, @sreeramkannan and @zmanian explored the endless possibilities that it could bring, explaining why this is the perfect match 🌠
⚡️ Projects like Lay3r @Lay3rLabs and Ethos @EthosStake aim to bridge Ethereum's economic security and liquidity to Cosmos.
From day one 👾🌻 Cosmos chains can tap into tens of billions of economic security without the need for a token, removing significant overhead 🚛
Binary Builders @binary_builders, the Cosmos SDK maintainer, will further crystalize 💫 their learnings and incorporate this natively to the Cosmos SDK, allowing any new Cosmos Chain to bootstrap its validator set permissionlessly from Ethereum 🪐
Other projects, like @Fair_Block, aim to bring Cosmos's encrypted 🔐mempool technology to the Ethereum ecosystem, protecting users from toxic MEV 🛡️
And more Cosmos projects building on EigenLayer are to be announced...
We are only touching the tip of the iceberg here. To learn more, check out our full blog post here, co-written with @hxrts: blog.eigenlayer.xyz/cosmos/
If you are an L2 and are excited about all the crazy things Cosmos could offer (multi-proposer, encrypted mempool, in-protocol MEV) 🧱
Or if you are a Cosmos chain and are interested in working with EigenLayer 👨🍳 DM @0xkydo or @sreeramkannan

It involves using two tokens: an exogenous token - such as ETH, and an endogenous native token - your own network's token.
When combined, these tokens work together to secure a network 🔐
2/ How does it work?
🖥️ Typically, one token is the network's native token (specific to that blockchain), while the other is a more established and stable cryptocurrency like Ethereum (ETH).
This post represents our 1st public, long-form content about EigenDA - what it is, how it works, what benefits it offers to rollups. There's too much to summarize fully, so please read at the link below!
EigenDA intends to bring to the Ethereum ecosystem:
- Innovation towards the scaling endgame
- High throughput & low/predictable costs for novel on-chain use cases
- A tool to protect decentralization in shared security, and
- A proof point for programmable trust via EigenLayer
The blog post addresses topics including:
- Technical architecture
- Foundations of cost reduction
- Economic considerations for rollups
- Mechanisms enabling high throughput
- Security features & implications
- DA system customizability, and
- Strategic considerations for DA
We're happy to share that the EigenLayer ecosystem is early but growing!
Today we highlight 12 early projects building/benefiting from EigenLayer, including actively validated services (AVSs) and users of AVSs such as EigenDA, the first AVS coming soon. blog.eigenlayer.xyz/twelve-early-p…
We are fortunate to work with such talented teams. In addition to these public collaborations, we work privately with many potential AVSs and EigenDA users. To register interest, use these forms:
Via EigenLayer developers borrow programmable trust from the Ethereum network, to launch a wide array of blockchain systems across interop, modular execution, data availability, and more.
Developers can customize across dimensions including decentralization and cryptoeconomics.
Ethereum stakers can now restake in EigenLayer by:
1️⃣ Depositing their liquid staking tokens into the EigenLayer contracts
2️⃣ Creating an EigenPod and setting their Beacon chain withdrawal credentials to their EigenPod address.
2/ EigenLayer will launch in stages throughout this year to ensure security and stability for users. The stages include:
✅ Restaking - Onboarding ETH stakers
✅ Operator Registration - Onboarding validators
✅ AVS Support - Launching modules, including EigenDA and several more
3/ Why restake early?
Secure Your Spot: Early restaking gets you ahead in the EigenLayer ecosystem.
Skip The Withdrawal Queue: 0x00 prefix native restakers can point validators to EigenLayer contracts now.
Maximize Opportunities: Be first in line for restaking on new AVSs.
