THREAD: Today The Lincoln Project joined with @Ga1stPplOverPol in filing an Amicus Curiae with the Georgia Superior Court to strike down the unworkable and idiotic new rules adopted by the Georgia State Elections Board just weeks before the election.

“These conspiracy theory-fueled board actions are an attempt to legislate by rule and cannot be allowed to go unchallenged. When elections are politicized, everyone loses. America loses. Good governance is not a partisan issue,” said lifelong Republican and @Ga1stPplOverPol founder and exec director Natalie Crawford."

The rules lack meaningful standards, conflict with a century’s worth of legal precedence, and radically alter how votes are cast, counted, and certified. Unelected bureaucrats rushed the process to stack the deck in favor of Trump at the expense of a fair election process.

THREAD: Tonight, our thoughts are with those being affected by #HurricaneHelene in the Southeast, we are reminded that Project 2025 promises to eliminate the vital agencies that American citizens struck by natural disasters are relying on today.

Donald Trump's Project 2025 would:
- cut FEMA
- kill the National Weather Service (NWS) and the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
- kill federal-backed flood insurance
- kill emergency disaster funding for state/local govts
