As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours and we also include visually confirmed losses reported throughout the day.
Overnight, Shahed drones entered Ukraine. Fortunately most of them were shot down.
During the day, a Kh-59 was destroyed. It is remarkable how many times Russia launches a Kh-59 towards Dnipropetrovsk at almost the exact time each day.
Also in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, two drones were seperately destroyed
A big plant in Shakhty, Rostov Region caught fire after an explosion happened. Russians claim Ukrainian drones attacked it, while no official statement from the Ukrainian side was made yet.
In the Zaporizhzia region, a Russian tank burned out.
During the day, Russia claimed a missile attack on Crimea and stated that they allegedly shot down 7 missiles which included Storm Shadow and Neptune anti-ship missiles.
Russians damaged their own Mi-8 helicopter after hitting a power line during landing.
Near the border with Sumy, a Russian truck that was involved in the creation of defensive fortifications was struck with an FPV drone and destroyed
A Russian BMP-3 exploded. High likely due to incoming ATGM.
An image emerged of the situation near Mar'inka, which became a hot zone again and shows lots of Russian losses on a small strip of land.
Let's continue with the general events. Out of a sudden, Hungary is making a U-turn on aid for Ukraine. It seems like Orban wants to prevent being deprived from voting and suddenly is open to allowing aid instead of a Veto.
Germany announced new aid supplied to Ukraine and updated their list of planned aid as well.
For those that doubt Russia's intensions in the next 10 to 50 years. If it doesn't succeed in this invasion, it will prepare for another one.
Sweden reconfirmed that it is possible to supply JAS39 Gripen to Ukraine, but it needs to be allowed into NATO first before that subject comes into play.
Interesting. The first jet propulsed UAV was spotted today. Ukrainian developers made testflights. Given the shape it looks to be some sort of kamikaze drone with a rather big warhead.
House Speaker Johnson doesn't want Ukraine to become Afghanistan. But did Johnson notice there are no Americans on the ground, nor will there be like Biden said multiple times. Ukraine doesn't need them, they only need sufficient weapons.
China refused to speak to Zelenskyi and his delegation in Davos.
The German Bundestag rejected the draft resolution, filed by the opposition with a big majority. The current government voted against. It was not likely to pass anyway.
Estonian PM Kallas suggested that all Ramstein-format members should allocate 0,25% of their GDP to raise €120 billion and supply Ukraine all it needed.
Norway allocated more money to the production of defense arms and artillery ammunition for Ukraine
Ukraine is still waiting for the NASAMS system paid for by Canada that should be delivered by the US. But due to the need for a certain agreement, the transfer hasn't commenced yet.

➡️Russians are attacking Novomykhailivka from two sides, the north and the south. In the south, they are progressing towards the O0532 to cut the road between Kostyantynivka and Vodyane, basically allowing itself to attack Vuhledar from the rear. Image
Avdiivka-Stepove

➡️Fighting continues around Stepove. Russia's attack capabilities in the area are getting exhausted, at the same Ukrainians are in full defense. Russia hasn't made any significant gains recently.
➡️South of Avdiivka the line of contact remains unchanged. Image

➡️In the last 24h, Ukrainian troops repelled another attack
➡️Russians claimed they hoisted the flag in the centre of Krynky, this info is false ❌
➡️Rumors are brought up that Russia is ready to withdraw to a new defensive line near the M14 highway. Dugouts are built. Image
