🚨For Immediate Release🚨: Statement from Steve Baker's attorneys regarding ongoing threat of prosecution from @TheJusticeDept:
William L. Shipley, Esq.
James Lee Bright, Esq.
Bradford L. Geyer, Esq.
Edward L. Tarpley Jr., Esq.
Matthew P. Ceradini, Esq.
Phillip A. Linder, Esq.
I want to personally thank these men for their commitment - not just to my fight - but also to the fight for important underlying constitutional issues in my case and the blatant selective prosecution of voices that don't align with the current administration. ⬇️
@TheJusticeDept and @FBI have put me through investigations and threats of prosecution for over 2.5 years - while more than 100 IDENTIFIED individuals on the FBI's J6 Most Wanted List (for violence against police officers and media mage) have not been charged. ⬇️
These weaponized federal agencies continue to allocate resources, charge, arrest, SWAT, prosecute, imprison, and destroy the lives of alleged misdemeanor J6 offenders while ignoring far more serious crimes of all types. ⬇️
They also continue to prosecute and threaten independent journalists who did not publish or submit their stories with the correct narrative while ignoring the actions of at least 60 other journalists who also entered restricted spaces without "permission."⬇️
Now, within days of my having broken significant stories about perjury, cover-ups, and other improprieties within @CapitolPolice, @FBI, @TheJusticeDept, and @SecretService, we have learned that the DOJ is looking for "face-saving" measures against me. ⬇️
This is despite the fact these agencies know I did no violence or property damage on J6, and I'm not a part of MAGA or any type of militia org. (The investigating @FBI agents - in my voluntary interview - even thanked me for doing no violence on J6.)⬇️
Referring to J6 prosecutions of non-violent J6ers, former AG Bill Barr told Politico:
“If this administration had given the same attention to other areas of crime, we’d have the safest nation in the world. It’s ridiculous."
He's exactly right. It's time for this stop.⬇️
But, if this is the fight @TheJusticeDept wants, I'm honored to have a committed and growing team of attorneys - including former federal prosecutors - willing to make this most public J6 legal battle the nation has witnessed thus far. ⬇️
An unnamed @CapitolPolice source, who I’ve been working with for more than a year, just sent me this private message following his review of the latest on the J6 pipe bombs from @theblaze and @DarrenJBeattie with @RevolverNewsUSA:
“EVERY SINGLE 10-100 (suspicious package) I’ve responded to or declared, I never saw my coworkers disregard their/other’s safety as I saw in that video...
"...It’s really weird seeing everyone’s calm response to a possible pipe bomb right next to them, especially knowing the future VP is there.”
🚨Breaking🚨 - Sources within @CapitolPolice today confirmed to me that USCP Officer Harry Dunn's (@libradunn) resignation from the department was effective on Dec. 15, 2023. One can only speculate about the reasons for his departure before earning full retirement benefits.⬇️
Dunn can continue accruing time if he takes another federal job. Several weeks ago, he floated a trial balloon about his interest in running for Congress. He resides in @RepRaskin's district in MD. Given @SenatorCardin's announcement last May of his intention to retire...⬇️
...@RepRaskin's name has been floated as a potential candidate for that seat. That would clear the path for @libradunn to run for Raskin's House seat without relocating. The two have indeed worked together before. One such project that led to a disciplinary investigation...⬇️
🚨THREAD🚨: Given the reactions from our sources inside @CapitolPolice to last night’s thread, I’ve decided to go ahead and drop the names of those who produced and distributed the anonymous letter on USCP letterhead on May 19, 2021. Follow this thread. ⬇️
It's no secret I had direct contact with @CapitolPolice Officer Harry Dunn for several weeks. This began with a four-hour-long personal meeting in September of this year. We maintained contact until @theblaze went public with Part 1 of our series about him and SA Lazarus.⬇️
The whole context of those communications will remain between @libradunn and me, but I am prepared to reveal that it was Officer Dunn acting of his own volition to create and release that anonymous letter, violating multiple department policies in the process.⬇️
🚨THREAD🚨: This anonymous letter on @CapitolPolice letterhead was distributed to members of the Capitol press pool and circulated by Rep. Jamie Raskin’s office to other Congress members on the evening of May 19, 2021. There are a few big problems…⬇️
…with this letter. As a department, @capitolpolice does not issue anonymous press releases. Indeed, not of a political nature. This letter, drafted by a USCP officer, violates several USCP employee regulations.⬇️
Most egregiously, the author violated many departmental directives against using USCP time and resources for political purposes. @theblaze has learned that @CapitolPolice knows the identity of the officer who wrote this letter. @TheBlaze also knows the identity of the officer.⬇️
🧵THREAD 🧵: Now that everyone is in a tryptophan coma . . .
I spoke with a Senior Congressional Aide on Tuesday morning regarding the fallout after the limited release of J6 videos under the direction of @SpeakerJohnson. ⬇️
They, too, are following and monitoring all the comments. They are aware the first thing that needs to be addressed is the timecodes are stripped once they convert from the Capitol CCTV software to basic MP4 format for uploading. ⬇️
This is a problem we've all had in this process, and short of 'screen recording' from the original proprietary files, they don't yet have a solution. They KNOW the timecodes are an essential element of this process, and . . . ⬇️
THREAD: Day Four of John Sullivan's trial begins this morning. This will likely be the last day of testimony before the jury gets this one. John took the stand yesterday afternoon, about half an hour before recess. He'll resume direct examination this morning. ⬇️
My article on the first two days of the trial pissed some of you off, but flooding my X with screenshots of Sullivan's past social media posts, Discord, videos, etc., of his previous words and activities doesn't show me anything I don't already know.⬇️
In the aftermath of J6, I had the same assumptions about Sullivan as many of you. And for good reason. He was prolific in his left-wing activism, participation in and attendance at the 2020 protests, and public efforts to recruit other 'anti-fascists' to attend J6. ⬇️
