An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. A day full of vague rumors surrounding Zaluzhnyi and Umerov that, for now, seem to have no truth. Possible advances on the left bank..

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours. We also include visually confirmed losses of Russian personnel or equipment.
Overnight, 8 out of 8 Shahed drones were shot down.
During the day, the Ukrainian Air Force released footage of a SuperCam surveillance/recon drone being shot down in the Kherson region.
In the morning, it became known that Ukraine had attacked an oil refinery in the Yarovlavl area in Russia. A total of 3 UAVs would allegedly have attacked the refinery. No visual damage was confirmed.
One of the drones that was on its way to the oil refinery was brought down by EW means.
Although Stugna-P doesn't appear much, it is very deadly.
"If they don't do it, i will do it myself".
In Chelyabinsk, weird flashes appeared. Seems like a transformer is having issues.
The 92nd assault brigade is taking out firing positions and dugouts.
Lets continue with the general events. Zelenskyi -in an interview with ARD- commented on the new law on mobilization which is subject to discussion the last couple of weeks.
Heads of the Foreign Ministries of Hungary and Ukraine met in Uzhhorod. Head of the Presidential office Yermak was also present.
After the meeting, which was aimed on improving relations between the two countries, a scheduled meeting between Orbán and Zelenskyi was announced.
After recent news of EU willing to destabilize the Hungarian economy and strip Budapest from its voting rights, out of a sudden Orbán makes an 180 degree turn regarding the €50 billion aid package to Ukraine
EU sanctions against Russia are being extended by another 6 months.
A nice image of a Ukrainian Su-24M bomber carrying a French supplied SCALP-EG cruise missile appeared with an ever nicer message written on it.
German arms company Rheinmetall is building a new factory in Germany in record time to supply both the Bundeswehr and Ukraine with more ammunition.
Despite that, FT writes based on a senior expert's opinion that it will probably take up to 2 years before Ukraine will have enough ammunition to get them on the same level as the Russians, despite sanctions.
Out of a sudden, just like last week, a vague rumor was spread by some journalists, claiming Umerov would want to resign himself and Zaluzhnyi was fired by Zelenskyi. The Presidential Office and Ministry of Defense denied such statements.
Ukraine and Belgium announced intentions to jointly produce weapons for Ukraine.
Permanent representatives of the European Union countries at the meeting on January 29 agreed to create a separate account to which interest from the taxable profits of frozen Russian assets will be transferred.

This update is related to the comments of spokeswoman Humenyuk. She confirms that Ukrainian troops managed to advance on the left bank without specifying where. It is known that Ukrainian aviation and artillery is working massively.

The moment the plane crashed was caught on video. It seems the plane already occurred severe damage before going down to the ground.

The plane reportedly crashed near Krivoi in the Bilhorod region. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that an investigation team and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working on the spot.
