Gobsmacked by huge 200k upward revision of long-term sickness numbers by @ONS.
Overall picture is emphatic. Britain is too sick to work productively.
The economic hit will be HARD. @hmtreasury will be gutted.
Mandarins! We need to address our underlying health! Urgently!

Hats-off to @ONS for hard graft on improving the numbers. Labour numbers were wobbly for ages, when it seemed workforce attendance wasn't an issue. Good to see this hard work, just a shame they've gone the wrong way and so emphatically. #DontShootTheMessenger

c£300m in direct and indirect investment that has transformed the operations of SureScreen, GAD and Omega. Secured ~92m 🇬🇧-made tests and created a lasting legacy. 🧵2/-
LEGACY: Increased production capacity by over 3500% in >1yr. From ~400K to ~15m tests pw. Capacity will be ~20m per week by the end of 2021.
