SitRep - 05/02/24 - 6 more F-16's for Ukraine and Russian advances near Avdiivka..

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Netherlands pledged 6 more F-16's, totalling 24. Meanwhile, Russia is advancing into eastern Avdiivka.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours while we also include footage of visually destroyed or damaged equipment or personnel.
In Russia, the remains of a Mi-8 helicopter that crashed in Lake Onega, Karelia, were found. All crew members died.
The 28th mechanized brigade operating near Bakhmut hit a Russian hideout with FPV drones.
A 2S1 Gvozdika self propelled howitzer destroyed in the direction of Avdiivka.
In the 'bakery', a so called LPR minister was killed.
A Russian T-90M badly damaged and abandoned. Putin called this the best tank of the world.
A T-72 and BTR-82 among other pieces of heavy destroyed equipment.
A T-72B3 damaged but it looks like it was able to get away in time.
A compilation of destroyed equipment by Magyars unit on the left bank, mostly in Krynky.
Lets continue with the general events. US senate will vote on a national security bill that includes aid to Ukraine. While it will probably get a Senate majority, US House Speaker and Donald Trump urged to vote against it in the House of Representatives.
Trump's statement on his own Truth Social social network.
Erdogan pledged to speak with Putin about a new mechanism for Ukrainian grain export.

Why? Ukraine is already nearing pre-war levels of export and doesn't need a different deal.
Serhii Naev made some interesting statements about armaments on the F-16's that Ukraine will be receiving. Possibly hinting towards AGM-158 JASSM?
New EU sanctions in Russia are not as big as intended.
Again, Russian state media threatened Poland. Not that it will attack Poland in the near future.
The Foreign Minister and Minister of Education from Portugal visited Kyiv and were met by the Ukrainian delegation. They will talk about the restoration of Ukraine.
Greece denied rumors that were spread about the possible delivery of S-300 missiles/systems to Ukraine.
The Netherlands pledged 6 additional F-16 fighters, totalling 24 which will be sent to Ukraine as soon as Ukraine is ready to receive them.
Orban's Fidesz party and allies deliberately failed to ratify Sweden's accession to NATO, further stalling Sweden to become a NATO member. Ukraine could start talks about JAS-39 Gripen once Sweden is a member. Sweden said this was a requirement.
German wishes to reform the EU military support fund for Ukraine further delay arms supplies to Ukraine.
A new, highly capable drone, is succesfully tested by Ukrainian forces
Representatives from the Netherlands conducted a third round of talks with a delegation from Ukraine on bilateral security guarantees.

Avdiivka

➡️The situation east of Avdiivka near Pisochnyy Kar'yer lake has worsened for Ukrainian troops. Russians managed to take control over all area's north/northwest of the lake while further trying to progress into the private sector. Heavy fighting is ongoing. Image
Bakhmut-Klishchiivka

➡️Ukrainian forces managed to regain control over an important part of the road leading into Klishchiivka from the north. It also maintains control over the strategic height. Russians were pushed back several hundreds of meters. Image
