Solinvictus - Powerful Reddit Moderator
Before Ian took over Twitter/X with his grift, he was a prominent Reddit moderator.
Ian had a 4 year Reddit Career (2008 - 2012) in which he essentially lived and breathed Reddit.
Here’s some of the subreddits Ian modded, and the size of them today:

So yeah, Ian was modding some of the biggest subreddits in the WORLD.
Notice how I wrote his Reddit Career was from 2008 - 2012? Yeah that was because in 2012 he got banned.
Why?
Because Ian finessed the system.
On Reddit, like most social media sites, they have spam filters.
So if you were posting too much in a Subreddit or posted too many links, your posts would get picked up by a spam filter and they wouldn’t show up, in some cases people were banned.
But because Ian was a mod, these filters didn’t apply to him.
So during the time Ian was moderating some of the biggest Subreddits in the world, he was also one of the top publishers on a gaming news site called “Gameranx”.
Ian would spam links to his articles on Gameranx in the different subreddits he was modding, and subvert the spam filter.
It’s believed he did this because the more people viewed his articles, the more money Ian would make.
But Ian did more than spam his own articles.
He also spammed the links of another site for money.
He spammed links from a site called “GlobalPost” and when GP was confronted with the allegation, they said they had hired Ian as a “social media consultant” when in reality Ian was abusing his moderator power and breaking TOS by spamming undisclosed promos on various Subreddits.
By doing this, Ian gained over 350,000 link karma in his 4 year Reddit career.
Eventually Ian was called out on r/reporthespammers and not only was his link spamming brought up, but people alleged that Ian was also operating on an alt account called ‘slaterheasrt’.
Coincidentally, Redditors noticed that when ‘Solinvictus’ was banned, ‘slaterhearst’ also disappeared from the site.
In 2012, Daily Dot said “Cheong is likely the most influential Reddit user to ever suffer the spam ban hammer.”

Ian accused a moderator of the ‘r/KotakuInAction’ Subreddit of being a rapist with no evidence whatsoever.
At the time Ian was involved in something called ‘GamerGate’
Now I don’t want to go too deep into GamerGate, but essentially is was a movement around 2014 where some people believed the gaming journalism/development scene was becoming too politically correct and women were being unfairly handed opportunities purely due to the fact they were female.
This lead to an online war between people who agreed with the premise of GamerGate and people who thought it was nonsense.
Ian was what would be considered ‘Anti-GamerGate’
The mod Ian was accusing of rape believed in the premise of GamerGate, and whether you agree with him or not, I think what we can all agree on is that you don’t falsely accuse someone of rape just because they hold different opinions than you.
In the image below you can see Ian go from literally calling someone a rapist, to then stating “it’s impossible to prove” that said person was in fact a rapist.
So what exactly was Ian’s ‘evidence’ in the first place?
Ian argued that the moderator in question had an alt account named “ThePhilosophyofRape”.
The account Ian claimed was the mod’s alt was being used to defend an alleged rapist at the time.
Ian had 0 evidence that the account was the moderator’s alt, but he made the claim anyway.
Eventually, Ian backtracks as he realizes it’s probably not the best idea to call somebody a rapist when there’s precisely 0 evidence for the claim.

The Wild Goose Dox
A couple of years ago, Ian was involved in a beef with a man called Wild Goose.
Ian claimed Wild Goose DM’d him and said he was sending “Bitcoin assassins” to murder him.
Goose denied these claims and said that if he was sent a message from ‘Wild Goose’ saying such a thing, then it was a fake account.
Ian was then given the address of Wild Goose’s home by a Twitter user called “Mom Bot”.
Ian also admitted to passing on Goose’s dox to another person.
Goose claimed Ian swatted his father’s home, and during the raid, the police threw a flashbang which heavily injured his father’s dog.
Now, given that Cheong has a history of doxxing people and filing false police reports (another example will be shown in the next tweet) it is highly probable that the swatting did in fact happen.
However, I’ll play devil’s advocate here and admit there’s very little evidence of the ‘flashbang incident’.
A video was posted which was claimed to be evidence of the flashbang, but it was quickly discredited as being an old video of an unrelated incident.
Ian did ‘admit’ to getting Goose’s dog flashbanged on a stream, however he claims he was being sarcastic and it was intended as a joke (you can be the judge of that).

This is probably one of the more interesting stories with Ian, because many believe that it was this specific incident that had Ian leave gaming journalism behind, and enter the political journalism scene.
Ian and Andy had teamed up to form the gaming YouTube channel ‘Hype Break’.
Things were going well, until they weren’t.
Ian and Andy got into an argument, and eventually Andy claimed that Ian had locked him out of the ‘Hype Break’ YouTube channel.
Andy took to Twitter and told everyone about the situation.
Andy was upset, but decided to move on and focus on his main channel instead.
Then something odd happened.
The thumbnails of his YouTube videos were being changed to images of gay porn.
To Andy’s surprise, it turns out Ian was still a manager of his channel, so naturally he said it was a targeted attack by Ian in effort to get his channel banned.
It didn’t stop there however.
Andy then got DDoS’d and had cops show up to his house saying they had received a report saying he had a mountain of cocaine, he was prone to bouts of violence and schizophrenia, and that he had illegal firearms in his home.
This of course was a complete fabrication and after the incident happened, Andy took to social media and accused Ian of filing a false police report.
Initially, Ian denied it and said:
“You gotta stop making stuff up for drama my man. Lay off the coke.”
However, evidence then came out proving that Ian was lying.
A woman by the name of ‘Enheduanna’ leaked voice messages Ian had sent her in which he admitted that he did in fact call the cops on Andy.
After Ian realized he had been caught red-handed, he made a tweet admitting he had called the cops on Andy, but he tried downplaying the situation significantly.
“In my anger towards him, I filed a report with a tip line to report his criminal activities.”
A message to literally everyone reading this, NEVER share ANY personal information with Ian Miles Cheong, because if he gets angry enough with you, he may call the cops and lie about you having a mountain of cocaine and illegal firearms in your home.
It was this incident that killed whatever little credibility Ian had left within the gaming community, and as you can tell by his tweeting today, he turned to political tweeting about Western issues instead.

The man he accused was 33-year-old (at the time) basketball coach and father of two, Darnell Hicks.
So where did Ian get this information that lead to him tweeting that Hicks was the number 1 murder suspect in this investigations?
A couple of Facebook posts.
Ian’s tweets coupled with Facebook posts peddling the same misinfo, led to Hicks having his address and ID leaked.
Hicks received death threats and was harassed for days because of this.
Even after LA County Sheriffs’ official Twitter account came out debunking Ian’s claims, he didn’t stop.
“LA County Sheriffs office may be disputing the contents of this tweet. However more details on Hicks have gone viral on Facebook.
I’ll post further confirmation or details as I get them. Officially, no suspects have been named at this time.”
