(1) to start off, adopt me, the first and only project of uplift games atm, slowly started dying in 2021.

what i mean by dying is losing a significant amout of players. (700, 000+ ➞ 100, 000+)

(2) most of us were kids or young teenagers when we started playing adopt me.

adopt me back then was entertaining FOR A KID and still is because we can still see them playing adopt me nowdays.

(3) the 4 majors problems of adopt me are: the audience reach, the premium pets/items, the attention span, and scam.

firstly, let's talk about the audience reach.

(4) i feel adopt me like adopt me doesn't care about saving older players as long as they can earn money. they mainly focus on reaching out the kids audience.

most of adopt me thumbnails look cute and colorful, which is perfect for kids.

(5) adopt me includes premium items & pets, which isn't a bad thing. but adding a premium item to every event isn't really necessary.

adding them will obviously lead a kid to beg for robux to their parents, or even worse, steal their credit card.

(6) i understand they need to earn money.. but why that much? if they're really earning less money than in 2020, why don't they try to save the game instead of adding a bunch of premium stuff?

by adding more premium stuff, adopt me will lose their players.

(7) the adopt me audience is like a cycle. older players leave, younger players join.

and it works. even tho they lose their most massive player category (2019/2020 players).

(8) the next problem we're going to abord is the gamepasses. i won't talk in details about it since i've previously mentionned this problem.

(9) the more you add gamepasses, the less players you'll have. the majority of roblox players are kids, and not all parents would spend money on virtual stuff.🤷‍♂️

this is not entirely adopt me's fault but keep in mind some kids stole their parents credit cards.

(10) and now we'll talk about the attention span.

if they want to get back old players, they should be aware of the low attention span we have because of social medias, ESPECIALLY tiktok.

(11) it can also include kids because sadly, a lot of kids got social medias of their phone or tablet.

i'm not a parent but kids should NOT have a phone/tablet at such a young age. it's very dangerous.

(12) the attention span of gen z is eight seconds, which is 4, 5 seconds less than in 2000.

if adopt me want to get more new players and old players back, they should consider the attention span.

(13) i'm sure we already left a roblox game in less than a minute.

to make players not leave adopt me (or any game), the loading screen should not be too long, and the game should be entertaining.

(14) scam is also a huge part of player loss.

unfortunately, adopt me fixed this problem WAY too lately.

(15) and now, let's get into the second and the last part of this thread: our high expectations.

many of us were begging for a second egg event. it happened. but our expectations were way too high.

(16) we had to wait 30 minutes to reveal a statue, which is a bit too much for our attention span nowdays. there was also nothing fun to do during these minutes. they could've added an egyptian culture quiz.

i personally didn't feel the fun in this event aswell.

(17) all of this leads to a loss of a significant amout of players.

i totally appreciate the effort of the the developpers, and this thread isn't intended to hurt them. 💞
