SitRep - 18/02/24 - Attacks in Zaporizhzia region have started

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Russia is now also actively attacking in the Robotyne-Verbove axis. Heavy fighting and bombings have already been reported.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours, and we include visually confirmed destroyed or damaged equipment or targetted Russian personnel.
That is 4 in 2 days. The Air Force reports that another Russian Su-34 fighter jet was downed early this morning. Which makes a total of 3 Su-34's and 1 Su-35 claimed to be downed. We have seen one video of a crashing fighter jet as proof in Luhansk.
The 72nd brigade shared some extra footage on the recent mechanized attack near Solodke, south of Novomykhailiivka which was repelled.
The battle for the city may be finished, but the destruction of Russian equipment keeps going.
The General Staff put out a visual with numbers they claim Russia lost during the Avdiivka offensive in just over 4 months.
The 12th Azov is actively searching and destroying Russian 'eyes' in the Kreminna direction.
It is high likely that most of the crew present on the Caesar Kunikov landing ship, sunk by Ukraine, were killed.
Lets continue with the general events. Biden once again expressed his concerns about the delay in aid to Ukraine and urged the US House to return from recess and bring the aid package up for a vote.
Danish PM Frederiksen confirmed that Denmark had send all of their artillery to Ukraine. If that includes new systems or shells which were not confirmed yet, is not known.
Expectations regarding F-16's emerged. June... that is not Spring, like initially thought.

Avdiivka

➡️After Avdiivka was captured, Russians started attacking towards Lastochkyne. Russian troops report that they are under heavy fire with all kinds of means.
➡️To the west of the Avdiivka Coke Plant, Russian DRG units were actively scouting. An attack is expected here. Image
Footage shows how Russians have entered Avdiivka and even found a 'proud citizen' to tell them how happy he was they arrived.
Robotyne-Verbove

➡️Fighting takes place on the edges of the trenches/fortifications south of Robotyne. So far Russian forces do not seem to be able to gain a foothold yet. Today another attack was repulsed.

Russian channels shared footage on how their artillery and aviation is trying to flatten the front line to pave the way for ground forces and heavy equipment.

West of Robotyne coming from Kopani, Russians also attacked in a small column. Both BMP's were destroyed. Infantry was later finished off with FPVs
