NEWS: Elon Musk has revealed a potential Midjourney and X partnership.

Plus, major developments from Neuralink, Grok, Adobe, OpenAI, Groq, and a new AI workplace study.

Here's everything going on in AI right now:
Elon Musk dropped some major AI news during a live Spaces appearance on X, including a potential partnership with Midjourney.

The image generator might be integrated into X’s Grok to enable AI art on the platform.

This is huge for the 'Everything App'!
Elon also revealed that the first human Neuralink patient has fully recovered and can now control a computer mouse with just their thoughts.

Neuralink is now working on "trying to get as many button presses as possible from thinking"
Lastly, from the X spaces, Elon revealed Grok 1.5 is coming in a few weeks.

Grok 1.5 will feature a ‘Grok Analysis’ button for post and thread summaries, as well as writing aids.
Adobe just launched an AI chatbot in beta for Acrobat to make navigating long documents easier with AI summaries.

In other words, they made a native 'Chat PDF'.

It works with PDFs, Word files, PowerPoints and more.
Adobe also introduced CAVA, a new 50-person AI research team.

The team's focus will be on the future of AI video creation, working to invent new AI models and processes.

Was Sora a wakeup call for Adobe?
Speaking of Sora, OpenAI's newest AI video creation just went live on TT.

This is my new favorite of the bunch, LOL.
OpenAI also doubled rate limits for GPT-4 Turbo now reaching a maximum of 1.5M tokens per minute while also removing daily limits.

Good news for developers.

But when Sora @openai?? Image
@OpenAI Groq's recent hardware breakthroughs have been going viral on X.

Groq (not Grok) uses LPUs instead of GPUs, allowing the chatbot to run LLMs at nearly instantaneous response times.

This unlocks a whole new world of potential AI and user experiences.
@OpenAI An AI workplace study by @bloomberry revealed that the AI revolution is already reshaping the job market.

-Writing gigs dropped over 30%
-Demand for video editing, graphic design, and web/software development remains strong
-Chatbot development experienced a 2000% surge Image

I've been sleeping on Apple Shortcut Automations.

So, I asked my community for their top automations that actually improved their lives.

Here's the top 15 life hacks from the thread:
1/

Record voice memos, email them to yourself, then use an AI agent platform (Gumloop, n8n, or Lindy) to turn them into long-form articles

2/

Show recently added contacts in reverse chronological order to not forget the new people you've just met

Perplexity Comet is not like other agents

I’ve been testing it all week, and it’s starting to actually *stick*

Having in-page data context and plugging it directly into tabs makes it so much easier to add to my workflow

An honest review with a few use cases (and caveats):
First, the caveats:

- It's still early, and struggles with longer workflows
- Most data is retained by Perplexity (privacy concern)
- Only available to Max users ($200/mo) or free with an invitation code (we just dropped 500 codes in The Rundown University)
USE CASE 1: Email and Calendar management

With the Google Cal and Gmail integrations, it can summarize emails, schedule meetings, and manager calendar events directly from the browser

It's weird that Google hasn't done this yet
