SitRep - 23/02/24 - Another A-50 shot down

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine managed to shoot down another A-50, a $330 million plane. The US also sanctioned Russia even more, but will it have any effect?

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours. We also include footage which confirms damage or destruction to Russian equipment or personnel.
Overnight, Russia attacked Ukraine.
In Krynky, destroyed Russian IFVs and personnel can be seen. Contrary to Russian claims, the fighting is still ongoing and Ukrainians maintain a bridgehead.
A destroyed Russian column in the Kreminna direction.
A Russian self propelled howitzer destroyed.
Then, Russian channels started spreading news that yet another A-50 was destroyed.
They were right, as video's started to emerge from the crash site.
The Ukrainian Air Force later confirmed the downing of the plane near Starominskaja in Russia close to the Sea of Azov.
Lets continue with the general events. EU countries are trying to gather the necessary $1.5 billion for the purchase of 800.000 artillery shells.
Footage of Ukrainian pilots training on F-16 fighter jets.
Zelenskyi, in an interview with FOX news, said that Ukraine is already preparing new offensive operations.
New EU sanctions are now adopted by the European Council.
The US also announced a new sanction package.
Ukraine signed an agreement with Denmark on long-term support and security guarantees.
While Ukraine is struggling to get more ammunition, Russia is scaling up its yearly production of 155 and 122-mm ammunition.
