SitRep - 06/03/24 - Russia attacked Odesa while Zelenskyi was there.

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. A missile struck only 150m away from the Greek delegation in Odesa. Meanwhile, new ammo seems to be coming soon.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours.
Overnight, a fairly large Shahed drone attack of which most were shot down.
Far away from the Ukrainian border, in Tuva, a Thermal Power Plant exploded causing a mass blackout in the region.
In the Kursk region, a Russian fuel depot was hit. At least one tank was destroyed.
Same area, but different location. A mining plant was struck
The GUR released info about he amount of killed and wounded after the attack on the Sergey Kotov patrol ship.
Also footage of a MAGURA V5 approaching the Sergey Kotov just minutes before it was hit and started to sink.
Several pieces of heavy equipment destroyed.
A BMP-3 exploded in the Robotyne area.
An expensive counter-battery radar was destroyed in the Kreminna direction.
A collaborator was killed in occupied Berdyansk.
A Russian ammo depot was reportedly hit.
Let's continue with the general events. The French Minister of Foreign Affairs once again emphasized the need to support Ukraine.
Czechia and Ukraine are working around the clock to modernize a facility on Ukraine's western border.
The transfer of Bulgarian equipment to Ukraine has started. In addition, it seems like self propelled guns and some BRDM-2 are also being shipped.
Greek PM Mitsotakis visited Ukraine. While being in Odesa, a missile struck just 150 meters away from the Greek delegation. The delegation was fine, but some Odesians died and got wounded. The missile was reportedly intended for Zelenskyi's motorcade.
Zelenskyi reported on his visit to Odesa.
It looks like the funding for the 800.000 artillery shells is completed. Soon, Ukraine will be able to utilize these on the battlefield. Much needed!
New commander of the Ground Forces gave a preview on what to expect from the AFU in 2024. it includes counter offensive operations.
Because the US House is not set to vote on the Ukraine aid package very soon, Biden is exploring other ways to send aid to Ukraine.

It appears that Ukraine has managed to dig in on the western borders of Berdychi, Orlivka and Tonen'ke and secure a temporary, strong defense line. Russia attacks are reported to a lesser extent and what is carried out is countered by defence forces. Image

➡️Geolocated images show an advance of Russians south of Novomykhailivka. An attack was averted, but the Russians have positioned themselves closer to the settlement and will probably accelerate attacks in the coming days/weeks with the mud season approaching. Image
