SitRep = 10/03/24 - Drones in St. Petersburg and heavy fighting in the south

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Ukrainian drones reached St. Petersburg causing explosions and fires, while heavy fighting in the south continues.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours. We also include footage of visually confirmed destroyed or damaged equipment and/or personnel.
Overnight, Ukraine shot down most of the Shahed drones that were launched from the south.
Destroyed Russian equipment and personnel in another attack that was fend off.
Heavy fighting continues in Robotyne. Russians that were attacked from the west, were repelled and finished off when trying to grab a foothold in the ruins.
Southwest of Vuhledar on the Zaporizhzia border, Ukraine repelled also another mechanized attack from Russians trying to advance. Several attempts in this direction have been recorded.
Russians trying to hide under a destroyed T-72 were targetted by FPV drones.
During the day, reports came in about explosions in St. Petersburg. The airport was temporarily closed.
Somewhat south of St. Petersburg, reports came in of Ukrainian drones flying in the area.
In the Avdiivka direction, the 110th mechanized brigade keeps hunting and destroying Russian infantry.
The same applies to the 3rd Assault Brigade.
An MT-12 Rapira destroyed.
Let's continue with the general events. In the Black Sea, it remains calm after recent events in which Ukraine managed to sink several Russian warships.
The Vatican tried to explain the scanadalous remarks of Pope Francis in which he basically called for Ukrainian surrender.
The Polish PiS party, now forced into the opposition after failing to get a majority in the latest Polish elections and got bypassed by other parties, now backs the Polish farmers, protesting and harming Ukraine.
Japan and the US announced more cooperation in the field of military production, procurement and repair activities.
Zelenskyi spoke to Macron.

➡️I have marked part of the central area in Robotyne as contested. This area - a kill zone for Russians - has now been stormed several times by Russians from the west, causing fighting to break out. The latest attempt was repelled. Image

➡️Geolocated footage confirms Russian advances inside Ivanivske, gaining control over the area north of the T0504 road leading into Bakhmut. Heavy fighting continues. Image
Avdiivka

An officer in the 59th Brigade confirms our latest reports. The Avdiivka direction has somewhat stabilized, and ammunition indeed arrived.
