Trucks entered Gaza, however, not to extract the wounded & martyrs from under the rubble. No, Families are left to unbury their dead barehanded.

This machinery is mean to implement America’s sea corridor and impose an American-Israeli military base. 🧵
America’s goal in establishing a seaport is primarily military & political, not humanitarian:
- Gain control over Gaza’s gas resources
- Establish US-Israel military presence
- Dismantle UNRWA & have aid distributed through local militias.
- Isolate Gaza from the Palestinian body
Gaza City has a long history as a crossroad of regional trade & travel. As a port city, Gaza was a stop on the Incense Road. In more recent history, until WWI, Gaza seaport was a main hub for import & export trade to southern Palestine, & its hinterland, including Jordan and Iraq
Since 1967, Israel has exercised full control of Gaza’s 43km coastline and territorial waters, blocking ships from reaching the city. Gaza seaport is the only Mediterranean port closed to shipping, because of Israeli colonization and continued destruction.
Between 1967 and 1994, the existing infrastructure was severely neglected. Railways, air and seaports were no longer at the free disposal of Palestinians and were only there to serve Israel, its army and its settlers.
As part of the 1993 Oslo Accords, the Netherlands & France governments committed $42.8m to the reconstruction of the Gaza seaport and to the training of port personnel. A Dutch-French consortium that specialises in seaports signed a construction contract in July 2000 with the PA.
The seaport was scheduled to be completed by August 2002. But Israel being Israel, in 2000, Israel halted any construction & in 2002, Israeli navy attacked the PA naval patrol boats in Gaza, causing extensive damage and no further implementation of the project was allowed.
Since 2007, Israel has repeatedly bombed Gaza’s seaport, which only now serves Palestinian fishermen. It has repeatedly shot & killed fishermen and destroyed their boats. Israel is also imposing a maritime sea blockade on Gaza for more than 60 years. Israel is cutting life short.
In June 2010 the EU Parliament urged EU Member States to “take steps to ensure the sustainable opening of all the crossing points to and from Gaza, including the port of Gaza, with adequate international end-use monitoring”.
Establishing a maritime window from Gaza to the outside world is possible, if the focus is put on ending Israel’s state violence, war crimes & genocide. What the Americans are now doing isn’t providing LIFE to Palestinians, but actually entrenching Israeli colonization.

Nothing is left of us. Nothing. I asked a friend professor whose opinion I value "Where do you think this is going" & with an empty stare, he replied: I can't think, I can't analyze, I haven't been able to breathe for weeks. My other friend was flying to a business conference 1/
2/ in London. When he landed, he opened his phone to find out about the flour massacre. He walked into the conference tears rolling. His European & American colleagues were talking, but he couldn't hear them. He kept crying until he boarded his flight back home that same evening.
At a graduate conference this week, selected PhD students were presenting their work, an opportunity for research exposure to many profs & get feedback. A student working on Palestine submitted an empty paper, with a few thoughts outlines. He told us he hasn't been able to write.

Who told you that the 1.5 million displaced Palestinians sheltering in Rafah have nowhere left to go? My family, now in Rafah, has a home in Jaffa, from which we were expelled by a fascist German family. The majority of our people in Gaza have homes to go to, all over Palestine.
The fact that at least 1 million Israeli Jews hold EU & US nationality should impel the US & European countries to invite their citizens back to their motherlands so they can make room for the indigenous Palestinians of Gaza whom their colonization had displaced in the 1st place.
Palestinians should move back to their original homes and lands in Israel in accordance with international law and UN resolutions, something the UN Secretary General and his minions have "forgotten" to mention and demand in private or in public from the Americans & the Europeans.

Reports from Gaza state that Israel has been harvesting organs from the bodies of Palestinians, after receiving dozens of slain Palestinians from the Israeli forces that were missing livers, kidneys & corneas. Is it just sadistic mutulation since u can’t benefit from dead organs? Image
Lots of unclarity of what Israel has been doing with dead Palestinian bodies. Doctors at Al Shifa have testified that Israeli forces abducted the bodies of 10s of Palestinians that were at the courtyard of the hospital. Other reports came out of removal of bodies at several sites Image
With no investigations possible and no one to hold Israel accountable, families will never have answers. Bodies were handed to Gaza authorities without any identification of the dead, as Israeli forces refused to disclose where the bodies came from. Morbid necropolitics.

Israeli media: Hamas demands release of 3 top Palestinian leaders in any hostage deal.

If you know who these 3 men are, u’ll grasp how Hamas is strategically working towards the unification of the Palestinian liberation front, bypassing US engineering regime change in Palestine Image
The men are the leaders of the three main Palestinian political factions: Fatah, Hamas, and the Popular Front. This means a major, radical change in the composition and reshuffling of the factions and the PLO. Considering them a threat, Israel put them behind bars decades ago -
Ahmed Saadat, Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), was arrested in 2008 and slapped with a 30-year jail term by Israel.

Abdullah Barghouti is a top Hamas leader and is serving multiple life sentences.

As a scholar of settler-colonialism, I’ve read 1000s of pages on the violent means through which European settlers engaged in dispossessing Natives in the Americas. I was flabbergasted by so much evil with each page turn, until Gaza’s live-streamed genocide gave those acts a face
At times, I would pause and reflect whether so much genuine evil was even possible, humanly possible, as it would require the erosion of any moral constraints. I used to have the same astonishment reading about the slave trade and the slave economy in general in the U.S.
I had these same questions in regard to the Nakba. I’ve never doubted the factuality of these events but I wondered how a group of people can eradicate and erase more than 500 towns and villages? How does that look like? How does that process materialize “outside of books”?

Want to know the extent of Israeli settler-colonial vindictiveness? Did you know that Israel passed a law to ban and criminalize Palestinians from harvesting za'atar (hyssop), akoub (gundelia) & sage (maramiya)– wild herbs used in traditional Palestinian cuisine for centuries?🧵
Image

Israel classified these herbs as “protected natural species”, and applied criminal charges against collecting them. Palestinian @AdalahEnglish submitted a request to the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection and to the Israeli Nature and Parks Authority to reverse the ban.
However, Israeli scholar Irus Braverman elucidates that a multitude of entities—including the Israel Nature and Park Authority (INPA); planning committees; the Ministry of Agriculture; the Society for the Protection of Nature; the paramilitary Green Patrol,
