BTW I solved the Kate photo thing.
My opinion: the purpose of the photoshop was first and foremost to show the non-ring hand. That hand was (to my eye) added. Which is why that hand is crystal clear and Kate’s other hand is appropriately blurry. NOW…
In order to show enough of said hand, the photoshop had to cut away some of Charlotte’s sweater/arm, which resulted in the odd hand/wrist angle and that weird blurry stuff behind said arm…BUT…
Look what happens when I use my phone to draw in (transparent purple part) where the sweater was likely cropped out. Hand position makes sense. Weird fuzzy part is covered up. 
The hand…was the point. I have a whole OTHER theory about that (and I’ve been saying it for weeks) but for today we are only talking about the photo. Look at the difference between the blurry right hand and the non-blurry ring hand.
Also if you want smart commentary about the discourse around the royals, follow @TheMereDish on ALL the platforms. She’s my ride or die for a lot of things but I told her about my Kate stuff weeks ago.
Okay since you’re asking - my OPINION is that Kate *might* simply be retreating to negotiate a new/better marital agreement. Or non-marital one. What better way than to show him what bad press actually feels like.
Also I don’t buy the “that’s not her head thing.” IMO it’s more likely a “let’s pick the best photo of all of us and paste them together” situation, a thing this family does routinely. But the hand…that was FIXED in post. Anyway…
