I have just seen the premiere of the only film that you are like to be able to see which challenges the climate alarm consensus. You won't see it on the BBC because the BBC does not allow anyone to challenge this consensus.

The new film consists mostly of scientists saying climate alarmism is not justified by the science. Earth temperature measurement is distorted because many measuring stations were based out of town but then the towns grew and the temperatures were increased by urban heat.

If you use only the measuring stations that remained outside towns then the rise in temperature in recent decades is modest. This finding is confirmed by results from ocean and satellite measurement.

They say that the assertion that temperatures have risen because of CO2 is demonstrably false. CO2 emissions were rising in the 1940s and 1950s but the global temperature was falling. On the other hand, the correlation of global temperature variations with solar rays is good.

It is a pretty convincing film, not least because it is mostly about the science. And if you are persuaded that it is probably correct, the question arises, "How come so many scientists are turning a blind eye to this evidence?" Actually it worse than that.

The scientific community is actively condemning and ruining the career prospects of any scientist whose work is counter to the consensus. In doing do, the scientific community is undermining its credibility for the second time in recent memory.

The first time was when scientists shut down any discussion of whether Covid might have cone from a laboratory leak in Wuhan. In other words they shut down discussion of what is probably true. Now they are doing the same with climate alarmism - shutting down any challenge..

The film goes into the way this has happened. There's a vicious circle. A scientist raises the spectre of major global warming. In response, politicians commission research into global warming. The incentive is to find it and warn about it. Anxiety increases.

There's a kind of crowd madness in which everyone is under pressure to go along with a new kind of religious orthodoxy. Scientific method depends on assertions being challenged but, instead, they are not allowed to be challenged. That, itself, is unscientific.

This big scam, if this is what it is, has real-world consequences. We are told what kind of car we can have and what kind of boiler. Our costs are increased which makes us poorer. We are more told by government and bullies what to do and believe. We are made less free.

The film which I urge you to watch is called "Climate the movie - the cold truth" and it was made by @Martin_Durkin . After premieres elsewhere in the world, it will be released to everyone on 21st March on YouTube and other outlets. Unless the bullies manage to censor it.
