(1) 🧵 In the United States, Mike Flynn is the most well-known and politically influential Christian Nationalist.

During a recent gathering at John Hague's church, General Mike Flynn declared to a conservative audience at a ReAwaken event:

"If we want to have a nation under God, as we must, we need to have one religion. A nation under God and a religion under God, right? All of us working together."

Which religion is Mike Flynn referring to? Who is responsible for this "one religion?" Who will determine the doctrinal positions and what is considered against the accepted teachings of this "one religion?" Are there any consequences for not adhering to the pronouncements of this religion?

Mike Flynn did not state, "We hope to regain this nation's devotion to God by spreading peace, grace, and love through the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ."

No.

Mike Flynn claimed that we must have one religion under God in the United States.

However, Mike Flynn never specifies which religion he is referring to in his ambiguous statement.

What religion is Mike Flynn alluding to?

During another stop on the ReAwaken America tour, Mike Flynn led thousands of unsuspecting men and women in a prayer led by Elizabeth Clare Prophet, a Theosophical, Gnostic, Hermetic Priestess.

Elizabeth Clare Prophet prayed:

"I am the instrument of those sevenfold rays and archangels! And I will not back down. I will take my stand. I will not be afraid to speak. I will serve as God's instrument, regardless of his will. Here I am, with God's help! In the name of Archangel Michael and his legions, I am born free and will remain free. I will not be enslaved by any enemy, both within and outside."

General Mike Flynn prayed:

"We are your instruments of those sevenfold rays and all your archangels, every single one of them. We will not back down, we will stand our ground. We will not be afraid to speak. We will serve as your instruments, no matter your will. In your name and the name of your legions, we are born free and will remain free. We will not be enslaved by any enemy, both within and outside, with God's help."

General Mike Flynn led unsuspecting and well-intentioned Christians through a prayer from a Theosophical Priestess, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, altering the prayer from the singular "I am" to the plural "We are."

The prayer, which first appeared in Elizabeth Clare Prophet’s book where she claimed to have channeled the Archangel Michael during EC Prophet’s “The Flame of Freedom Speaks” conference in 1984 (see more below).

Prophet and Flynn’s prayer refers to "those sevenfold rays."

According to one of EC Prophet's greatest influencers, Alice Bailey, each Ray is an expression of the Hindu Trinity or the Gnostic/Hermetic-influenced Seven Sephiroth of Kabbalah.A ray is but a name for a particular force or type of energy, with an emphasis on the quality that force exhibits, rather than the form aspect it creates. This is a true definition of a ray." (Esoteric Psychology, Vol. I, p.315).

Alice Bailey states that each Ray is an expression of the Hindu Trinity or the Gnostic/Hermetic-influenced Seven Sephiroth of Kabbalah.

To reiterate, General Mike Flynn had unsuspecting American Christians repeat, word-for-word, a "prayer" that was channeled through a Theosophic Priestess and had origins in Gnostic and Hermetic teachings.

This is "MAGA" Christian Nationalism.

(2) Elizabeth Clare Prophet served as the leader of the Church Universal and Triumphant (CUT). She adhered to the theosophical doctrines of Alice Bailey and Madame Blavatsky, which blend elements of Gnosticism and Hermeticism.

During the 1960s and 1970s, Prophet delivered public speeches, sharing messages and alleged prophecies from "ascended masters". She proclaimed herself as the "Vicar of Christ", authored multiple books, and began advocating for survivalism as early as 1973. In one of her predictions, Prophet stated that a global thermonuclear war would occur on March 15, 1990. Consequently, many of her followers assembled in a compound near Yellowstone National Park in Montana, in anticipation of Armageddon. However, when the projected doomsday arrived without the nuclear war, disillusioned followers gradually dispersed. As a result, the CUT eventually sold most of its Montana property. Despite Prophet's passing, a small number of individuals associated with a group called Summit Lighthouse continue to propagate her teachings and engage with conservative thought leaders.

The prayer recited by General Mike Flynn, which was "channeled" by Elizabeth Clare Prophet at a conference in 1984, included the following patriotic song:

(3)Elizabeth Clare Prophet was greatly influenced by Alice Bailey, the founder of Lucifer Trust (now Lucist Trust), which has offices in Westminster, Geneva, and at the United Nations in NYC. Bailey's writings, often referred to as "Ageless Wisdom," share some similarities with those of Madame Blavatsky, although they also have some differences. While Bailey's writings address religious themes, such as Christianity, they hold fundamentally different views from aspects of Christianity and orthodox religions. Bailey envisions a unified society that encompasses a global "spirit of religion" distinct from traditional religious forms, which includes the concept of the Age of Aquarius.

In her prophetic writings, Bailey talks about the "Reappearance of the Christ" from a Theosophical perspective. The description of her book is as follows:

"In every age I come back to deliver the holy, to destroy the sin of the sinner, to establish righteousness." So runs the well-known passage in the Bhagavad Gita (translation by Prabhavananda and Isherwood), giving words to an eternal hope in the human heart. In this book the reappearance of the Christ is recognised as inevitable within the continuity of divine revelation. Not only has God never left Himself without witness, but at definite periods in the history of human evolution, the "word of God", the projected potency of His vital life, has manifested in form in order to establish the principles to be demonstrated during the coming cycle. There have been many such messengers over the ages, manifesting through one or another of the great world religions or followed by a new form of religion based on the new revelation. Divine revelation and the periodic appearance of messengers, or Avatars, occur, however, according to cosmic law, when certain conditions exist within the whole scheme affected by, and affecting, every part, large and small. Then a chain of events is set in motion which under law must eventually work out. The part that our little planet Earth plays in this intricate and smoothly functioning system of inter-relationships seems to be of vital importance at this time. The esoteric and planetary significances of the reappearance of the Christ are suggested in this book as underlying causes for His Aquarian service to humanity. This is the beginning and end of an age--the beginning of Aquarius and the end of Pisces--marking also a major turning point in the evolution of human consciousness from individual need to the needs of humanity as a whole, from personal salvation to world service, and from materiality to spirituality. It seems that this climaxing transition must be "marked" in both its stages, beginning and end, by the Christ Himself, and a principle anchored in human consciousness, which embodies not only the love or God established for the age of Pisces, but also the new potency for the future, the "Will" of God, into which only the Christ is as vet fully and perfectly absorbed. The imminence of the reappearance of the Christ is sensed and expected by many, belonging as He does to all humanity irrespective of differing religious dogma and doctrine. "He for whom all men wait" will Himself determine the manner and the timing of His appearance and the area of his work in a way which creates no divisions or separations between men, either religious, social or ideological. Not only does He come as the first Son of God, but as Head of the spiritual Hierarchy, the inner government of the planet. He is, therefore, a great world executive, representing the Kingdom of God, and fulfilling a definite function in the world of men. He is coming to establish through precept and example in world service the principles on which a united, interdependent and interactive world may create its new material systems and spiritual institutions for the new civilisation. Preparation for the second coming is the responsibility of humanity; it is for those who know and accept the imminent return of the Christ to prepare men's minds and hearts to recognise and receive Him, and to create those conditions of balance and spiritual alignment which will ultimately draw Him forth into our midst. For no matter what message or revelation the Christ may embody when He comes, no matter what principle or energy He may anchor on Earth for human use, He is not coming to save humanity from the results of its own sins, but once more to show humanity how to save itself in the new conditions and new opportunities with which the world is faced."

(4) Despite her belief that traditional religious forms were divisive human creations, Bailey expanded on her vision of a unified society that encompassed a global "spirit of religion." Consequently, she established The Lucis Trust with the aim of promoting "World Goodwill" and the vision that at some point in near human history, all of humanity may be under one God and under one religion.

(5) Lucis Trust is a partner with the United Nations to implement the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and is caretaker of the meditation room in NYC.

"In the Preamble to the UNESCO Constitution we can read: “Since wars begin in the minds of men and women, it is in the minds of men and women that the defences of peace must be constructed.” In other words, and broadening that idea a little bit, if ever the SDGs are going to materialise, they have to be first addressed in our minds. World Good Will, through the energy of good will and the establishing of right human relations, tries to contribute its part to that process. And we hope that the discussions of this afternoon may contribute its tiny part thereto too.

In the clamour and noise of the world of today, connected by social networks functioning at the speed of light and producing political discussions of a type never seen before, there might be a quality or subject of interest also to our discussions of today – and that is: silence. For ideas to emerge, for thought forms to have a chance to come to our minds, silence is a prerequisite.

The United Nations HQ in New York has a so called Meditation Room dedicated to silence in the outward sense and stillness in the inner sense. The New York silent room was initiated by the second Secretary-General Dag Hammerskjöld, who said of this room: “We want to bring back, in this room the stillness which we have lost in our streets, and in our conference rooms, and to bring it back in a setting in which no noise would impinge on our imagination.” Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who will leave office at the end of this year, began his first day in office in 2007 by visiting this Meditation Room. Here in Geneva such a room is as yet absent but for the coming project of the renovation of the Geneva United Nations compound a request has been launched to include such a silent room at Geneva HQ too."

(6) It is highly likely that individuals close to the Trump campaign and General Mike Flynn will contact me to argue that I have somehow taken Flynn's comments out of context. However, I assure you that I have not done so. I have approached several of Flynn's closest friends and presented them with his words, which are often dismissed with statements like "that could be any prayer."

But it's not just any prayer. It is a very specific prayer from a particular event in 1984, led by a Theosophic Priestess heavily influenced by Alice Bailey. When you start talking about "one God" and "one Religion," you are essentially advocating for trampling over the 1st Amendment with your ill-defined Gnostic/Hermetic crusade, which would only lead to a national divide. General Flynn whispering about a national divorce to other leaders does not contribute to unifying the nation either.

Flynn is the former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (nominated by Barak Obama on On April 17, 2012). Mike Flynn is not stupid or careless. He knows exactly what he is doing.

Certainly, this kind of vague and strange ranting does not resonate well with Reformed Christian circles. Just as discussing 17th-century Protestant Magistrates and the integralist position of an unbound executive would not be well-received at John Hagee's church. However, both perspectives continue to exist with their respective goals, without critiquing each other.

Having said all that, I do support the re-election of President Trump. I hope that this time around in 2024, he exercises more discernment in selecting his cabinet and running mate. Nevertheless, I am concerned when I see General Mike Flynn and Roger Stone as the prominent "Christian Nationalists" organizing events for the MAGA crowd, and names like Kevin McCarthy, Russell Vought, and integralist-friendly JD Vance being thrown into the mix. I worry that these men will advise Trump to act as a "dictator for a day" and embrace the role of an unbound executive, which would only lead to a national divide.

Let us pray that Trump distances himself from this theosophical nonsense and removes those who would seek to disrupt or dismantle the United States of America.
