SitRep - 31/03/24 - Further Russian advances near Avdiivka..

An overview of the daily events of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Near Avdiivka, despite heavy losses, Russia continues to move forward, step by step...

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours. We also include visually confirmed damaged or destroyed Russian heavy equipment and/or personnel.
Overnight, Russia attacked Ukraine with a mix of drones and missiles. Most of them were destroyed.
Russian infantry in the Avdiivka direction is continously being chased down by Ukrainian FPV drones.
Overnight, explosions were heard in the Saratov region in Russia. Ukrainian drones attacked the area although it is unclear what they managed to hit.
A mortar installation on the left bank was found and destroyed.
Decent turret toss and a lost BMP-3.
Today, Russia conducted a very large mechanized attack near Tonenke consisting of several dozen of armored vehicles and tanks. Rougly 20 of them were destroyed, among them 12 tanks.
The same goes for the Robotyne-Novoprokopivka axis. A Russian mechanized attack was repelled leading to big losses.
It seems like Ukraine managed to upgrade their FPV drones with a bigger warhead, given this explosion.
Two Russian BMP's ran into mines near Berdychi.
Lets continue with the general events. France pledged more military support in the form of armored vehicles throughout the year and a new batch of Aster 30 SAMP/T air defense missiles.
A Russian Kh-101 fired at Ukraine fell short in the Saratov region.
A new group of Russians will be mobilized in spring. Now, people up to 30 years old (first this was 27) can be called up.
Satelite images confirm that Russias is trying to protect its fleet in Novorossyisk, scared for Ukrainian naval drones.
The Pope called for an all-for-all POW exchange. Why isn't he calling for Russia to get out of Ukraine?
Discussions to end the Polish border blockade will continue next week.
In roughly a week, a vote by the US House on aid Ukraine is possible..

➡️Russian advances around the settlement continue, geolocated footage confirms. Russian units took control of a forest belt south of it. It will be hard for the AFU to maintain position inside while Russians are pushing from both east, south and soon north. Image
