Can the Management Committee of @LadiesFootball please take note of the findings from @sportireland?
You have a chance at the next Central Council meeting to at least review your Transgender Policy!

'Biomedical science tells us that there are significant differences in the determinants of sporting performance between the sexes. The evidence points to retention of some of these differences in transgender women, even after transition therapy.'

Nowhere in the document is it stated that sporting bodies have a legal obligation to include transwomen in female sports! Something that @LadiesFootball has aluded to in correspondence repeatedly. "The LGFA complies with all of its legal obligations under European and Irish law."
'The vast majority of
people working and taking part in sport favoured protection of a female category.'
'Those from the sporting
community were of the opinion that fairness and safety in sport should not be compromised through inclusion practices.'
#Facts @LadiesFootball
'It is very important to consult with your membership regarding their needs and understanding in
this area. Ideally, this should be done independently or with outside advice.'
You didn't consult with your members at all @LadiesFootball!
Will you finally do that now?
'You should factor the views & needs of your members & stakeholders.'
'There should be an understanding that communication will be offered to your membership explaining your process & detailing how & why decisions have been made.'
@LadiesFootball, maybe we'll get this now 🤷♀️
It's time for Sports National Governing Bodies to listen to their members! Cater for inclusion, but not ahead of fairness & safety!

1) As we approach the 1st anniversary of @LadiesFootball transgender policy on 15th Feb, I will be posting a number of threads on the issue.

Thread No 1:
Here's a timeline of events so far:
July 2022 - A man takes part in a @dublinladiesg women's match.
2) Sep 2022 - GAA; 'We are working with our sister organisations to review this area'
LGFA; 'We are currently working in consultation with our counterparts in the GAA to develop policy in this area'.
Yet @officialgaa and @OfficialCamogie still have no trans policies.
3) Feb 2023 - After NO consultation with managers, coaches, players, parents... the LGFA inform county boards of a transgender policy by email, which stated; 'not for circulation to clubs or members'!
So much for the LGFA being a democratic organisation - Rule 9 Official Guide
Here is another peer reviewed scientific publication, which you must have missed also @LadiesFootball when 'consulting' on your Transgender Policy.

"Puberty increases in serum testosterone in males peakig at 20 years old & remaining stable thereafter until the eighth decade. In females, circulating testosterone peaked in late adolescence and declined gradually over the next two decades."
Women are not a testosterone level!

Circulating Testosterone as the Hormonal Basis of Sex Differences in Athletic by Handelsman, Hirschberg, and Bermon academic.oup.com/edrv/article/3…
"Competitions have separate male and female events due to men’s physical advantages in strength, speed, and endurance so that a protected female category with objective entry criteria is required."
"From male puberty onward, the sex difference in athletic performance emerges as testosterone concentrations rise as the testes produce 30 times more testosterone than before puberty, resulting in men having 15 to 20 fold greater testosterone than children or women at any age."
