Did you know Israel built and expanded Shifa?

It was an open secret that Hamas HQ were in Shifa

Amnesty knew already in 2014 that Shifa was used by Hamas
On October 7th Israeli hostages were taken into shifa

On November 4th Gazans watched October 7th massacre GoPro footage on a big screen in Shifa courtyard

The tunnels everyone knew about before October 7th suddenly didn't exist after October 7th
Then the IDF proved they existed under Shifa

More tunnels under shifa

Hamas terrorist interrogation
He admits Hamas was using Shifa

After leaving it, the Shifa compound was taken again by terrorists.
Hundreds of Islamic Jihad members stationed there until Israel took it again by surprise

Cash and envelopes to pay terrorists were found in shifa

Al Jazeera news showing a message from Hamas admitting they were using Shifa

The IDF eliminated many terrorists in Shifa
All were dressed as civilians

I listened to the All-In Podcast with @DavidSacks @chamath @friedberg and @Jason about the Houthis situation in the Red Sea

Here's what was missing in the conversation IMHO

1. Middle East mentality misconceptions

2. The costs of American neutrality or perceived weakness
1. The misconceptions are typical to westerners that don't really know the middle east

The idea is that Muslims will generally want the same things we want in the west

That is usually true in upper class people in the Sunni moderate countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE) but untrue...
...for the majority of Muslims

Certain beliefs about the superiority of Islam and the consequent justification of atrocities against Jews and Christians are deeply rooted

The 2nd misconception is related to the 1st
What really counts in the middle east is power. Nothing else
