SitRep - 09/04/24 - The US is worried about... global energy markets

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. While Russian advances continue, Ukraine is still waiting for much needed US aid. Also... the blyatmobile was destroyed.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours and we include footage from visually destroyed or damaged Russian equipment and/or personnel.
During the night, Russia once again attacked with Shahed drones. All out of 20 launched were reportedly shot down, while S-300 ballistic missile did inflict damage.
During the day, an Orlan-10 reconaissance drone was shot down.
Ukraine on its part, attacked an Aviation Training Center where Russian pilots are being trained in the Voronezh region.
The 92nd Assault Brigade made a video of recent FPV drone hits, destroying various pieces of armored carriers.
The 79th Air Assault Brigade with an overview of recent and less recent attacks in the vicnity of Novomykhailiivka. Lots of destroyed Russian equipment can be seen. You wonder how sustainable this is, although this question is raised so many times...
Aftermath of a recent GLSDB/HIMARS strike on a gas station in occupied Kherson. Lots of Chechen fighters would have been killed.
A lone T-80 tank destroyed.
A Ukrainian made RAM UAV destroyed a Tunguska anti aircraft gun.
More Russian air defense taken out, this time by the SBU.
The blyatmobile is no more. He got targeted after OSINT geolocaters found out about the hangar it was filmed in. Ukrainians didn't wait for a second and struck it.
Ukrainian Hackers related to the GUR destroyed IT infrastructure of a Russian/Moscow company.
A Russian (T-80?) destroyed by the 72nd Mechanized brigade.
Stugna-P video's are among the coolest around. Also this one, where several Russian pieces of heavy equipment are taken out, does not dissapoint
Lets continue with the general events. Germany gave Rheinmetall an order to deliver another 20 Marder 1A3 IFV's to Ukraine.
The EU, in particular several countries, sent more aid to Ukraine in the form of generators after recent Russian airstrikes, targetting Ukraine's energy system and partially destroying it.
Ukraine needs urgent help. Air defense systems, fighters, long-range missiles. This video is probably one of the best recent examples. Russian fighter jets are basically operating AT the front line.
Romanov claims that a big wave of mobilization is coming in May in Russia. Just like they did in september 2022? I have some doubt.
The US handed over a big amount of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine which was seized from a vessel headed for Iranian backed Houthi's in Yemen.
These statements by US officials infuriate me. How can you be busy with global energy markets and meanwhile drip feed / stall military aid to Ukraine, not giving them the weapons to actually win this war.
Portugal and Ukraine started talks on bilateral security agreements.

Bakhmut-Ivanivske

➡️While Russians simultaneously press Chasiv Yar, it also makes an advance west of Ivanivske. Geolocated footage shows new forward positions. The goal is clear, enclose Chasiv Yar from two sides and cut off the area east of the Donbas Canal toward Klishchiivka. Image
Krasnohorivka

➡️Recent geolocated footage showed a repulsed attack south/east of Krasnohorivka, but new information and footage strongly suggests that Russians have managed to gain new positions in the southern part of the village near the railroad line after all. Image
Pervomais'ke.

I posted about this earlier today. It is quite plausible that Russians have taken full control of the village after footage showed Russians hanging their flag on the westernmost side of the village.

Tonen'ke-Umanske

➡️North of Pervomais'ke, and taking advantage of the situation there, geolocated footage shows Russians have advanced west of Tonen'ke. Yasnobrodivka is coming into view. There is not much area left until Russia reaches the Karlov'skiy reservoir & Vovcha River. Image
