I decided to do quick analysis of a comparison between the 4 strikers Milan have been linked with ahead of Next season.

These players are:
Jonathan David of Lille - 24
Benjamin Sesko of Leipzig - 20
Victor Gyokeres of Sporting - 25
Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna - 22

What did I see?

If we're to consider age, Gyokeres and David look to be hitting their prime as they're 24 and 25 respectively. The average age of the current Milan squad is around 26 years and having players within this bracket (24-27) could see them have similar and collective expectation.

While Zirkzee 22, and Sesko 20, are still a bit younger, their ages might have an impact on their expectations and also their ability to handle pressure that comes with the collective expectations of Fans, Manager and the Management.

These are things worth considering.

Analysing the stats of each player individually
David has the highest XG, the second highest passes into the box and the second highest received passes.

These stats are that of a pressing forward. David tends to rely on his pace to press and carry the ball to the box to score.

Benjamin Sesko tops the stats in terms of aerial goals. He also ties Jonathan David in Second Place for non Penalty goals. Among the four, he comes last in received passes, Expected Assists and third in expected goals.

His stats are characteristic of an unrefined target man.

He uses is height to win aerial duels and bring in his team mates but doesn't seem to play too close to goal.

He still has work to do in refining his gameplay to be a proper target man like Ibrahimovic as his expected assists, expected goals and passes into the box are low.

Looking at Gyokeres, he tops the other 3 in terms of Offensive Actions, Expected Assists, Non Penalty Goals and is second for expected goals behind David and second in aerial goals.

His stats mirror that of a proper advanced forward who is absolutely involved in the attacks.

Joshua Zirkzee tops the comparison for passes into the box, Received Passes, and second for Offensive Actions.
While he comes last for Expected Goals, Non Penalty Goals and 3rd in expected assists.

The stats are similar to that of a deep lying forward who loves to drop deep.

Zirkzee's ability to drop deep to receive passes and play passes into the box as reflected by his stats makes him appear as a deep lying forward who doubles as a playmaker for the team.

To improve, he has to improve his expected Goals and Assists and be more present in the box.

To compare their prices, Bologna have slammed a 60m Euro price tag on him. Gyokeres has a 100m release clause with Sporting. Sesko will cost nothing less than 50m from RB Leipzig while David seem to be the most affordable for 20/30m as he has 1 year left on his Lille contract.

Considering the brief analysis highlighted in this thread, which striker would you prefer to be signed by Milan in the summer?
