Specifically: There is a very specific sort of Holocaust denial that is common in anti-LGBTQIA Christian Nationalist spaces, which either claims LGBTQIA people were not killed (including transgender people) or that LGBTQIA people were its perpetrators or both

Starting in the early 2010s, Christian Nationalist groups have also tried to infiltrate feminist spaces in the Commonwealth, especially those that already trended TERFy, and this specific Christian Nationalist Holocaust denial has followed them into TERF spaces

More recently, a tack among Christian Nationalist groups infiltrating feminist spaces is to deny transgender people exist at all (and in the context of Holocaust denial, claiming "transgender wasn't a category before the 60s-80s" as a form of Holocaust denial)

What is typically never mentioned is, at the start of the Holocaust, there were only *TWO* clinics *WORLDWIDE* that specialized in gender and sexual orientation studies at *all*, ONE of these (the only clinic doing gender reassignment) was in Germany...

And that it was literally THAT CLINIC that was destroyed by the Nazis, & most of its records literally destroyed, save for what had been published in its own journal & the journal of another German group (ALSO attacked and shut down by the Nazis) & made it overseas

Yes, you're reading this right; pretty much the attack by the Nazis on anything gender-affirming was *THAT* total & the few orgs devoted to research were sufficiently concentrated in Germany thus wiping out 50 yrs of research in one of the first major Nazi acts

And one of the particular tactics by THIS form of Holocaust denial is to claim "there wasn't a legal classification of transgender, they were transvestites" not noting THIS WAS THE LEGAL TERMINOLOGY NOTED, and WAS THE LEGAL EQUIVALENT THEN OF GENDER TRANSITION PAPERS.

Literally until the late 60s, Germany actually criminalized not only even consentual LGBTQIA expression but even crossdressing; these "transvestite certs" were *MEDICAL EXEMPTIONS FOR SOCIAL TRANSITION* using the legal terminology of the Weimar Republic era

No, we don't necessarily have full records of who was treated--because the Nazis were actually *rounding up literally everyone associated with gender affirming therapy in the country and sending them to concentration camps under Germany's anti-LGBTQIA laws*.

Groups, in general, do NOT try to actively destroy membership rolls in political advocacy groups that are trying (among other things) to abolish an existing anti-LGBTQIA law and grant legal recognition to transgender people if there is not a real threat to lives.

Paragraph 175, as that law came to be known, literally resulted in the few people who survived the camps who ended up IN the camps for violation of the "anti-homosexuality" (actually, broadly anti-LGBTQIA) law ended up BACK in prison afterwards

Formal pardons for people who were imprisoned under Paragraph 175 would not happen until after reunification in the 90s; Germany would finally recognize that transgender persons interred under Paragraph 175 during the Holocaust were victims...in the early 2020s

And frankly, we should be pointing the SHIT out of Holocaust denial of any sort when we see it, for the sake of thirteen million people who died in the most horrible ways imaginable at the hands of a regime that has rightfully become synonymous with evil.
